2026 Watch List

NYT/Athletic consensus top-50:

Max Iheanachor at 37.

Gabe Jacas, DDS, Derrick Moore and Keyron Crawford all outside the top 50. Also Jake Golday, Treydan Stukes, Keionte Scott, Chris Bell and Ted Hurst.

That guy is 306" and looks lean.

There is probably some guy in an Igloo who is even freakier.

You can't make this stuff up.

Yeah hasn't lived in that small village in a while.

Or that small village is very well set up for pro testing.

It's easy to get caught up in pre-draft visit lists, personal favourite prospects and needs but we don't really know how Vrabel and the FO see the draft. So I've been thinking about prospects that we don't really talk about here as potential picks, and I've come up with a list that wouldn't completely surprise me if they were picked on the night, possibly as BPA.

WR

Brenen Thompson

Assuming we trade for AJ Brown, the X receivers like Malachi Fields, Chris Brazzell, Chris Bell etc might not make sense. Thompson is a complimentary piece to Brown and matches what might have been a philosophy last year, namely adding speed to the offense. His elite speed is a killer USP.

OL

Trey Zuhn

A bit of a forgotten man but experience at tackle and center and the potential to play guard would make him very valuable. He had an elite pass blocking grade, the best of an OL by a significant margin, and had athleticism scores not too dissimilar to Monroe Freeling.

Connor Lew/Jake Slaughter

We don't need a center but if either of these fall to the 3rd day, they might be too good value to pass on. Very smart, very good characters - Vrabel guys.

DT

Darrell Jackson

Another person with a killer USP, namely his size and length. It might be hard to pass on him at the right point in the draft.

Albert Regis

We've taken a look at his partner on the Texas A&M DL, Tyler Onyedim, but Regis had a very good run defense grade as a NT. A day 3 Tonga replacement?

Nick Barrett (S Carolina)

See Regis above.

CB

Davison Igbinosun

If we've looked at day 2 CBs on this board, they've usually been Charles Demmings or Devin Moore (quite rightly, they're awesome). However we haven't spent much time on Igbinosun. His awesome grades, size and good enough athleticism along with the Ohio State connection do make him intriguing as a potential pick.

Will Lee, Malik Muhammed, Daylen Everette

Three solid, potential starting corners, on day two. It just wouldn't surprise me.

Igbinosun is Kinda lanky at 6'2 and 189 lbs, but good speed and agility.. 9 PBUs is pretty good.. had 30 penalties in his career (not good). He tends not to turn his head and look for the ball which contributes to the penalties...

Will Lee - Didn't do agility testing, but his lacking shows on his tape.

Malik Muhammed - Very good agility numbers.. Very fast as well.. Didn't do the bench and reportedly has issues with his tackling technique.

Everette - Didn't do agility testing.. Supposedly has issues coming out of breaks and tends to give up when beaten instead of using his speed to make up for it.

Alonzo Highsmith was GM of football Operations at Miami in '22 and '23. We already have one person on the roster from that time - Leonard Taylor. so looking at the Miami roster from that period, the prospects available in this draft from that period are:

Rueben Bain
Mauigoa

Mesidor
Wesley Bissainthe (LB)

and one to consider, EDGE Nyjalik Kelly, now of UCF who was at Miami both years Highsmith was.

Bleacher Report's latest big board is out.

The one thing I was interested in was Brandon Thorn's take on Travis Burke and he's at 105 which feels about right. That would require a 3rd round pick though.

Dane Brugler's 'The Beast' is due out tomorrow.
Burke is one of those guys that will go later than expected only because there is so much talent in the middle of this draft.. I wouldn't be surprised to see him go in the 4th or 5th round..

What was interesting is that when I did a PFF mock draft using the Consensus, Trey Zahn went 91 where as Burke fell to the 6th round when I took him.. I don't think Burke will fall that far, but it wouldn't surprise me to see him go in the mid-5th..

Fun fact. Burke is the most sought after prospect in this pre-draft process I believe. He's had 30 visits/meetings with 16 teams so far. I think he's going higher, not lower than expected, especially with the paucity of good mid round tackle options.

Welp, I think 105 is likely because Isiah World is at 119 and he not gud. Burke would be listed between Austin Barber (99) and Drew Shelton (108), that seems about right.
