2026 Draft: WR

This comment on Chris Brazzell makes me question if whoever made it has even watched the player.

"This kind of profile usually doesn’t work out,” a third scout said. “Just a downfield, long strider, build-speed guy. Not a really good route runner because he’s tight and doesn’t separate really well. Not very strong. B hands. He’ll flash and run by a DB against Cover 0 or something but, overall, just not a polished, versatile, natural receiver.”

Chris Brazzell has excellent acceleration, is a very good route runner and is extremely fluid and loose for his size. It's the opposite of how this anonymous scout has described him, it's like he just looked at his measurables and joined the dots without ever watching any tape
I found this to be the most interesting part of that article:

I agree, lot of "guys". No need to reach.

I personally think Chris Bell and Ted Hurst have the most upside of any WRs in this draft.

Chris Bell if he drops outside R1. Ring my Bell.

Daniel Jeremiah was really trying to hold back from saying anything too negative about Jordyn Tyson's toughhness.

Nacua was always injured too but was Never considered a day 1 guy. Tyson doesn't move the needle for me personally I like others. That said I really hope he has nice career and proves me wrong.

I disagree I see some Phoenix that could rise from the ashes at WR in this Draft class. Remember Nacua went in the Fifth and is showing #1 type talent. They're guys in the Draft class who could hit their ceilings in the Pros: some will need to be in the right situation.

I think the main point it there is no need to draft these guys high, there is better value at other positions, it just isn't as good as a WR draft as we've seen the last couple of years.

There are always guys that get drafted late and surpass expectations, but I certainly wouldn't bet on it.

Point taken: that said we need a Big X and a Slot.

Everyone is looking for a big fast tall X....unfortunaly not alot of good ones around, and the good ones go high. Some version of the slot should be easier, assuming they don't like one of the guys on the roster.

I know that Brugler didn't rate Sobkowicz, which is criminal, but watching Sobkowicz, he has the same sort of quickness as Edelman did, but is more than 2 inches taller with longer arms. I think he'd be a steal in the 6th or 7th and would be a good security option if the Pats think they can't get a deal done with Boutte. Also, I think, with his agility, he'd make an excellent back-up punt returner for Marcus Jones and a good addition to the hands team.. Sobkowicz could end up being a tall slot guy or Y receiver with his ability to make contested catches..

What's really interesting is that Sobkowicz's 10 and 20 yard splits are better than any of the Top 10 receivers except for Germie Bernard. Though, I admit that several of the top 10 didn't do ANY of the testing. Which is a red flag to me on them..
