2026 Draft: WR

His 4.63 40 also gives me Efton Chism vibes.

I would really like someone with a tad more long speed, to turn those short receptions until long gains. High 4.4's-low 4.5's would be fine. But he sounds like another EC3, and we already have one.
EC3 was a 4.71 second 40. Really slow.

Rich Eisen slow.

FTR: I think you'll are sleeping on Ja'Kobi Lane he works well with others. I know Lemon is very good: but I don't think we have seen the best from Lane.

The X receiver that really intrigues me as a late round value is Georgia's Colbie Young. Best deal with the elephant in the room. He was arrsted in 2024 for assault on his pregnant girlfriend and although she asked for the charges to be dropped, he was convicted. That alone may make him undraftable.

However, looking beyond that, there' a lot to like.

He's 6'5"

His release.

Has very good hands. Aside from his freshman year, he's never had more than two drops in a season and even then it was only three.

He's huge. Look at him in the gauntlet. He had the fastest time in the gauntlet too.

His stats at Miami prior to going to Georgia

Every Receiver from Georgia have an excuse I hated their QB. Won't surprise me if they become better Pros than College Players: they were being held back. Sometimes I wish these guys would find their Gals when they make it: yeah yeah I know. That would keep a lot of them out of trouble bad timing for that assault.

This comment on Chris Brazzell makes me question if whoever made it has even watched the player.

"This kind of profile usually doesn’t work out,” a third scout said. “Just a downfield, long strider, build-speed guy. Not a really good route runner because he’s tight and doesn’t separate really well. Not very strong. B hands. He’ll flash and run by a DB against Cover 0 or something but, overall, just not a polished, versatile, natural receiver.”

Chris Brazzell has excellent acceleration, is a very good route runner and is extremely fluid and loose for his size. It's the opposite of how this anonymous scout has described him, it's like he just looked at his measurables and joined the dots without ever watching any tape

Isn't Brazzell the Tenn Receiver that the reviews have been all over the place in terms of his abilities and character?

I think some concerns have been raised about his effort in blocking, but some folk who are fairly tuned in to Tennessee football claim it's a coaching thing, that he was told to do the bare minimum for whatever reason, same applies to their previous star receiver's. Not sure what the veracity of that is or the logic behind it, but in any case, I think he's an absolute weapon and would love him at the Patriots. Although I've resigned myself to it being a highly unlikely eventuality

Look at how far ahead on missed tackles forced Kendrick Law is.

Those Bubble screen stuff works in College and not in the Pros ask Kyle Willimams.

If you look at the chart, it's on non-screens that he does particularly well.
