2026 Draft: Tight Ends

I think the Patriots should draft at TE this year .How high is the question . The biggest needs IMO are Edge, WR and OT. So I think the Patriots could draft a TE say 3rd or 4th rd and still get one that can get some playing tine in 2026.I like Jack Endries Texas that spot in the draft.

I know I've posted this before but it's worth re-posting. I don't know how the Pats will feel about Kacmarek now that Julian Hill is on board, but he is such a dominating blocker who can offer something in the passing game. I don't know if he has TE 1 in his future, perhaps TE1.5.

The 3rd play is him throwing Derrick Moore to the ground.

 
Breaking down some of the plays from above. The second play is him taking Jimmy Rolder out of the play. Vrabel will love Kacmarek, not least because of Ohio State.

You know I've been on the Kacmarek bandwagon since before the combine.. I think he's still a worthwhile addition. You could go Trip TE and dare them to stop you in the run game with Henderson or Stevenson. Would also make for some creative play-action..

95 on Michigan looks to be 310-325 lbs and Kacmarek just STONES him. (1:13 of the video). Yes, Kacmarek ends up on the ground, but by then, the RB is already long gone.. LOL

I am down for some 23 personnel on the GL with Henry, Kac, Hill, Gilliam and Hendo or Mondre.
 
I can't get enough of Kacmarek blocking. Here he is putiing Michigan EDGE TJ Guy (#4) on his backside. Guy is 250lbs.

Just pushing my Will Kacmarek advocacy a little further. I said he's probably not a TE 1 but could become a TE 1.5. Here's how he comps athletically to our current TE 1.


Hunter Henry

6'5", 250
32.75" arms, 9.25" hands

40 - 4.67
10 - 1.60
VJ - 31.5
BJ - 9'5"
3C - 7.16
SS - 4.41


Will Kacmarek

6'5.5", 261lbs
32.25" arms, 9.75" hands

40 - 4.74
10 - 1.7

He's more an Austin Hooper long term replacement really and we'd either have to double dip this year or wait on next year to replace/upgrade Henry but I like him as a placeholder.

IF Will Kacmarek can Block H Henry is poor comparison. I'm on the Delp - Roush trains.
 
I don't understand many comparisons or classifications. For example, Mel Kiper lists Oscar Delp with the online TE's, and Msx Klare with the H-backs. Am I missing something?

It looks like Sadiq - Stowers and Trigg are all move TE's not the kind of TE's we are looking for.
