PATRIOTS NEWS Schefter: Pats will be featured on *2027* Hard Knocks

Breaking New England Patriots Team News
Treveyon may be featured since he stepped into it this morning over the Chicago Bulls cutting Ivey.

You should probably accomplish something in the NFL first and make yourself indispensable. Especially since you play for a team in a region full of Catholics and larger numbers of out people. You have every right to express your beliefs, but that works two ways and you should realize that.

I know Henderson is a big bible thumper but basically publicly backing a guy who just got cut for what for his statements is pretty stupid.

Hard Knocks isn't as intrusive as they used to be. And I am not not sure they are anymore intrusive than the Patriots' own video staff these days. If this was 10 years ago, I would be more upset. Now it is really more minor of an inconvenience to the team.

Oh well. The team will be fine.

I think the lack of drama with teams like Seahawks and Pats will probably make them rethink their criteria for picking teams.

IDK, Vrabel has star power though. He could be as entertaining on Hard Knocks as Rex Ryan was without some of the buffoonery.

I don’t remember reading the part in the Constitution that says Freedom of Speech applies to NFL players only after they’ve “made themselves indispensable.”

I don’t know why people are freaking out about this. We basically did that this season with Forged in Foxboro. Everything NFL Films shoots needs to be approved by the team before it goes on air. For the last decade Hard Knocks has been a puff piece for whatever team it covers and with full editorial control nothing will come out that Vrabel and co don't want out.

It’s a much more PC statement than flat out telling him “know your place”.

Hard Knocks was NEVER GOOD.
Wtf you smokin' ?
Oh I disagree. Who was that fat O line coach that was a riot? Or the very first time you saw the "TurK' in action? Nah, the early Hard Knocks was the first real chance to peak behind the curtain.

TH didn't say anything controversial, inappropriate or derogatory. He is a man of strong faith, not my personal faith, but all he is doing is expressing his belief in a respectable manner...not ranting how terrible it is to be this or that...I have no concerns whatsoever with what he said.

Rex Vrabel

BB would never go along with this BS.
My grandpa used to throw slippers at the TV instead of using the remote...thank God he wasn't running a multi-billion dollar franchise

Henderson is hiding behind a book to defend a guy who rant against homosexuality, calling out other players for not being real Christians, called catholicism a false religion, and ranted continuously about judgment day.

Yeah, I’m not a fan of Hard Knocks or the Pats being on it, but I agree it’s not that big a deal. Vrabel can handle it.

TreVeyon Henderson is correct and so is Jaden Ivey. LGBTQ acts are a sin (sin is unrighteous). For some reason homosexuality and trans is the sin that the NBA and the NFL want to advertise, promote and encourage to fans. Like any sin, we need to turn to Christ, repent, ask for forgiveness and ask for God to change our hearts. This Friday we celebrate what Christ has done for sinners so that we might be saved. He took the punishment we deserved. Good on Henderson for speaking the truth. The Gospel has eternal implications for every single one of us.

Putting out a post visible to the entire free world is hardly hiding, I can think of many more effective ways to hide then post on social media, especially with the kind of visibility that TH has. Also, he didn't defend anyone, that is your own interpretation of the meaning behind his quote. Finally, there is NOTHING wrong with defending someone as long as you are being rational and respectable. Jaden Ivey is 24 year old kid that made some dumb, inappropriate and offensive comments in a late night rant, not like any of us have ever done similar in our own lives. Is it stupid, absolutely, but let's not try to pretend that he is trying to exterminate a nation of people because of their religious beliefs.

I am not saying Henderson is hiding his views. I am saying he is using a book to justify defending someone with bad views. I don’t know how many people actually listened to/ready what Ivey was saying but there wasn't a lot that was "rational and respectable".

I think both parties involved in this whole ordeal aren't very bright.
