2026 Draft: RT

Something seems "off". When I watch those, Iheanachor seems to have his weight back and really isn't aggressive.. He's almost "catching" the DEs to tie them up..

The 2nd snap shown the DE gets into Ineaheachor's body..
The 3rd snap, Bailey actually get's his hands on Ineahachor first.
The 4th snap, the DE takes himself out of the play by attempting an inside move.
The 5th snaps, the DE gets a pressure and the rest of the D-line gets the sack.
The 6th snap, Iheanachor again seems to catch the DE.
The 7th snap, Bailey gets a pressure on the QB.
The 8th snap, Bailed is able to push Iheanachor back and cause the QB to move off his spot. Not a pressure, pre se.
The 9th snap is a QB hit. Height beats Iheanachor with an outside move and the DT gets the QB.

He is late with his hands, but that is coachable. He compensates with his nimble footwork and athletism, bit more aggressive hand punch will help his game.

Which is what Vrabel seemed to be doing with him in the other video.

I was just commenting more on what that particular video showed from that game.

I don't want to keep beating this drum to the point where I'm just annoying everyone, but I really don't think he's very good. I hear talk of potential but it's not really based on much other than the fact that he's got good footwork and is relatively new to the sport.

Would be a very underwhelming pick at 31

To each his own.

Did you watch the video of Vrabel working with him? Because in that little bit, he showed a LOT better than he did in the game video.
If that's what one 2-min instruction session can result in, imaging what a few months could result in..

Bob McGinn rumors that 8 tackles could go potentially in the 1st round this year:

Of course, there will have to be 32 selections made in the first round, which is where the offensive tackles will figure most prominently. There might not be a Trent Williams or a Penei Sewell staring at teams but there’s enough of a bumper crop to soothe the anxieties of most general managers.

“I’ve got at least eight potential starting tackles,” an executive in personnel said. “That’s pretty good at a position that’s so hard to find. Eight in the first round would be some kind of record, wouldn’t it?”

Eight settled in the first round two years ago led by the Chargers’ Joe Alt at No. 5. Starting in 2016, when Ronnie Stanley (No. 6), Jack Conklin (No. 8), Laremy Tunsil (No. 13), Taylor Decker (No. 16) and Germain Ifredi (No. 32), the average number of tackles chosen in the first round is 4.4.

The aforementioned five tackles have combined for 603 starts and seven Pro Bowls. It’s that type of stable, consistent yield that invariably leads teams to tackles in Round 1.

“The position itself, you’re allowed to take a tackle in the first round even if it’s a reach,” said one evaluator who has been through the media wars. “But, my God, these guys are nowhere near the likes of Jonathan Ogden, Joe Thomas and Walter Jones.”

8?

1. Monroe Freeling
2. Francis Mauigoa
3. Spencer Fano
4. Kadyn Proctor
5. Caleb Lomu
6. Max Iheanachor
7. Blake Miller
8. ???

I'd be shocked is more than 5 got selected in the first round. Especially considering that a couple are thought to be conversion projects.

I wouldn't. The need is desperate for OLs.

Walter Jones, Jonathan Ogden, and Joe Thomas is a lofty standard. 3 HOFers, among the best to ever play the game.

Over-drqarfting players is what leads to wasted picks and setbacks..

I don't think it's overdrafting. I have all 7 of those guys as 1st round grades except for Proctor, and many teams are reportedly considering him top-15.

2025: Campbell 4, Membou 7, Banks 9, Conerly 25, Simmons 32; IOL Booker 12, Zabel 18, Jackson 24

2024: Alt 5, Latham 7, Fashanu 21, Fuagu 14, Mims 18, Fautanu 20, Morgan 25, Guyton 29

8 OLs in each of the past 2 drafts. Vega Ioane the only clear 1st round IOL right now, though Pregnon and Bisontis could sneak in.

I don't know if I've mentioned this before but while Travis burke played RT all this year, he played LT all 2024 so as a swing tackle, he has the experience playing both sides.
