Gonzo signaling…

You mean Boston sports media sensationalized a gesture by an athlete to turn it into a controversy?

No way!

That would never happen!

Boston sports media is the most even handed level headed sports media there is, they are as honest as it gets!

Say it ain't so Christian. Don't be such a punk assed *******. Stop creating so much drama Christian.
WTF, are you his agent?

He also cost the Patriots a perfect season twice in two consecutive plays in the 4th quarter of the Super Bowl.

Wouldn't put it solely on him, Eli could of got sacked during helmet catch play, same play could of been a pass break up, and our offense could of been more consistent during the game only putting up 14 points.

Agreed assante was a ball hawk one of the best zone CBs to play here... however he's often had the prime time syndrome.. they don't pay me to tackle...

You should probably get your hearing checked.

I'm not the one who listens to Felger and then comes in regurgitating his **** talk. Gonzalez is a top 3 CB in this league and he's done NOTHING to deserve the **** being thrown his way.

Maybe reading comprehension is your issue. I have repeatedly stated in this thread that Gonzo is great on the field and that I want the team to resign him. Why can't you accept the fact that I think that Gonzo has a bit of Diva in him? FWIW, I don't listen to Felger very often because I can't stand Jim Murray and Mazz.

You're the one who compared him to Asante Samuel, not me. That wasn't intended as a complement it's a smear job. So you're talking out of both sides of your mouth. In one post you claim you like him in the next you compare him to someone everyone knows is an *******. And there is absolutely nothing to suggest that Gonzalez is a diva. He's never done anything even remotely close to that behavior. He's kept his mouth shut and played his ass off. If you want to have a civil conversation that's fine with me, but don't expect it when you say **** " WTF, are you his agent."

You're also the person who invoked Boston sports Radio to try and support your case, and Boston Sports Radio is a sewer of **** talk. Absolutely nothing good comes from it. All they do is tear players and coaches down. And almost all of them never played a sport in their life.

Bedard thinks Vrabel is gonna wait and see when it comes to paying Gonzo, wants to see more out of him.

We are all reliant on the media for information. Other rational posters mentioned the negative media bias and the fact that Gonzo is a better player than Asante. I acknowledged and agreed with both points. Like it or not, both players are/were elite.

AGAIN, I think Gonzo is great and I want the team to find a way to resign him. Why does it matter to you that I happen to believe that there is too much smoke around Gonzo to dismiss the fact that he has diva tendencies? It is the norm for players at that position.

He isn’t ever going to just hit the open market, that would be an absolutely terrible move by the team if that were to ever happen.
How can the team force him to sign if he decides he is going to hit free agency and refuses to sign anything until he does?

I doubt he would decide that when they have him under control for a minimum of three more seasons.

It would have been a pass break-up if Samuel hadn't gotten lost on the field, and Rodney had to come all the way across just to get to Tyree. That was Samuel's guy. He was in no-man's land.

The dropped INT was the play before.

It's 4 seasons until we have to worry about Gonzalez hitting Free Agency. This year, the option year, and two franchise tags.

Seriously? Clearly he was trying to gain public support to put pressure on the team. At this point it is better to stop wasting time on something so trivial. I thing Gonzo is one of the best CBs in the league and want the team to find a way to resign him.

How did you jump to the conclusion that he's was/is trying to gain public support to put pressure on the team?

You said your goal was to " trigger" people, I.e..piss people off, then you cry like a little ***** when you get thrown back in your face. If you're going to come in here spewing the toxic waste from Boston Sports radio then you sure as **** better be able to take it when you get it thrown back in your face. Boston Sports radio is good for one thing only, starting controversy where it doesn't exist, and this is a perfect example of that. So anyone who wants to regurgitate their **** talk in here should be prepared to get it right back when they do. Gonzalez isn't " soft," and he isn't a diva, and anyone who says he is is a liar.

He's worth what he is worth to the team. The team needs to decide what he is worth to them. Then, if he cannot be had for that sum, trade him. I personally think he's a passive-aggressive *******, but that is, aside from the impact his assholery might have on the locker room, pretty much irrelevant. He is not a sacred object: he's a goddam football player, worth what he is worth, and not a penny more. All this emotional posturing is irrelevant.
