2026 Watch List

Freeling and Delp are two highly rated prospects that I am very wary of. Wouldn't touch either in the first. Iheanachor is another.

Im slightly less wary of Faulk, but still don't like him as a first.

4 Georgia players out of 8. The Author just did a 2 Round Mock where he had Cleveland trade back into the 1st to get Freeling at 14. Objective & Hypocrite or just a Jet fan. Hard to choose.

Delp shouldn't go in either the 1st or 2nd unless a team is desperate. If you're desperate for Delp that early, then you have bigger issues you should be using the pick on anyways.

TE probably second-hardest position to learn after QB. This guy has probably never caught a forward pass in his life.
Rugby players need to have good hands no matter where they play.

If he was that good, why doesn't he want to play for the Irish National team?

I'm sure he would. But the two sports are light-years apart in terms of player salary. Why not give football a go and then he'll always have rugby to fall back on.

I think they're probably targeting OT as a position because of Jordan Mailita's transition from rugby. There's probably a lazy assumption that if he can do it, why not this guy?

Presumably this guy is a prop forward or a lock. So he is not primarily catching or running with the ball. He's certainly never run a route in his life or even blocked anyone (in rugby you can't block a player who doesn't have the ball). We've seen converted wrestlers playing on the OL, and of course we've seen rugby players playing on special teams - they are really good tacklers and can learn to block. But TE is just a bridge too far.

Hmm I don't about any of that. But I know a few supporters (any Irish person) and I just don't know about any of that.

I am an Irish person. And a former rugby player.

I'm none of those except for a rugby club team in college for 2 games (indoors - gruesome, think I'm still peeing blood from the dirt pitch). Have a lot of respect for rugby players (and hurlers, too) than trying to take a shot at the NFL. But good luck to him.

I stopped playing rugby at 18.

I'm 47 now and my right ankle, left knee, both hips and left shoulder are constantly paining me, to the point where I don't even notice anymore unless I think about. It's just part of daily life. Rugby is brutal.

Mel Kiper will still be talking about Shedeur Sanders in 5 drafts time. Strange obsession.

Updated top 200 from Robby Esch at The Huddle Report:

If the draft followed his board:

31. Max Iheanachor, OT, Arizona St. (38)
63. Dani Dennis-Sutton, EDGE, Penn St. (66). Miss out on Ted Hurst, Treydan Stukes, Mike Washington and Kyle Louis.
95. Sam Roush, TE, Stanford (104). Miss out on Devin Moore.
125. De'Zhaun Stribling, WR, Ole Miss (144)
131. VJ Payne, S, Kansas St. (182)
171. CJ Demmings, CB, Stephanie F. Austin (181)
191. Adam Randall, RB, Clemson (194)

Players not listed in the top 200 who could be potential picks at 198, 204, 212 and 247:

- DT Jordan Van den Berg
- LB Kaleb Elarms-Orr
- Slot WR Eli Heidenreich and Cyrus Allen
- IOL Micah Morris

That would be OT, IOL, WR, slot, TE and RB on offense; DT, EDGE, LB, S and CB on defense. All 11 players from my 35-man short board.
