2026 Draft: RT

World did well at Nevada, but didn't make the leap when he transferred to Oregon. He has an elite frame but major technical limitations, so he was probably a late 3rd-4th round pick at best, and then he got injured.

Imagine picking Keylan Rutledge too to be the future of the right side of the OL. That would be some serious nasty and, dare I say, violence.

I have selected Rutledge in a mock before. Looks like a Good physical player. But is the need as strong now that we signed Vera-Tucker to start at LG? I'm guessing it's BPA in round 1. Would not mind the Patriots selecting a starting caliber OL though.

Given AVT's propensity for soft tissue injury, I get it was 3 freak injuries but being susceptible to soft tissue tears is a thing. Owenu is also on his way out imo so a rook could come in and get a year of NFL training/coaching and take over at RG in 2027. I like it and Ratledge is pretty athletic which is the direction I think that McD wants to go

We have a lot of 2027 needs, one of which is RG. I think a second round pick is too early for a guard, probably what we need to use, but I wouldn't complain too loudly.

With guys like Burton, Farmer, et al later going to be available on Day 3, why would the Pats need to use 2nd round pick?

I was just fantasising about pairing Rutledge with Burke, not doing a mock.

Who is Burton? Did we sign someone I missed

Then you must whisper lol

More Vrabel & Iheanachor. I'm going to say something that may not be popular. I'm no expert on the athletic physique of O Lineman but there looks to be more fat than muscle going on there. Fair or not?
