Yeah, but frankly it makes a lot of sense. The Eagles would have (should have) traded him by now in order to secure a replacement in free agency. That’s gone. Doesn’t mean they won’t trade Brown, but now no need to do so over the next month. The next big inflection point is the draft. If he’s still with the Eagles then, the next time will be in camp, either early in camp if Brown is holding out, or later in camp if another team has a WR get injured or another team’s receiving group isn’t coming together. Camp has the post-June 1 advantage, but a major disadvantage of not being able to immediately replace Brown unless a player was part of the deal. We’ll see what happens. I doubt Brown will be on their opening day roster, but he could get traded at any of those inflection points.
