This would be interesting, and would tell me we’d probably give them one of Douglas/Boutte in a package.
This is a pretty solid signing - 4 years, $70M equates to about $17M APY. Pretty decent value for a good WR2 which is what he is. He doesn't solve the WR1 problem, but there were no answers to that problem on the free agent market. He does make the room better brings them a player type that they needed, and should operate well with Maye. He was effectively Green Bay's WR1 last year for much of the season due to injuries and performed well. If Kyle Williams and Kayshon Boutte take a step then the room should be in decent shape, but still in need of one elite player at the top, most likely
It's not an overpay in the slightest.
It does set Boutte's market though.
Sure, but when the other guy is out with a concussion and he isn't...Olave should have worn this since college.I'm not going to fault a guy for wanting to protect his head, but those things look ****ing ridiculous, especially on a wide receiver.
I still hate giving up on Boutte. But this move makes it one I could live with, even if I'm still occasionally angry about it.2/6/Boutte for Brown.

Why do you keep saying a 3rd option?
He was GBs leading WR last year.
He is a solid #2 and his contract is inline with that.
No one is pretending he’s a number 1.
They should have thought of that before they let Nick Sirianni alienate their locker room.I understand, but if Philly is going to eat 40 million, and leave a position open, it doesn't make sense to them.
The could take Boutte and do good things.
I thought it was Gee-NO! Smith being traded BACK to the Jets that did it.Romeo Doubs signing here making the server crash is so totally on-brand.
