Who are we talking about here? He's an upgrade over Westover. Sure... he'll get a shot in camp to compete but it's doubtful he will beat out Gilliam or even Lampe.

Not me. Love it!People will **** on this signing - but he's a monster upgrade from the trash we tried at fullback last year.
No problem. We all do it sometimes.Player Signing FB Incoming! Patriots sign Reggie Gilliam
EDIT: @TheRainMaker No you're right...I wasn't clear. Should have read "He's an upgrade over Westover. Sure...Westover will get a shot in camp to compete but it's doubtful he will beat out Gilliam or even Lampe.
Quality info.
Whinging about PFF aside, that's the part I wanted to see. Lead blocker is one thing, but someone who can clean up the mess when someone breaks through the line is critical.
The pass-blocking grade is misleading because he was only asked to do it a couple dozen times last year and about 62 times in his career. Hopefully, we'll see more play-action out of the Pats in 2026 with Gilliam back there blocking..

For the same reason why NE let Sam Gash go after the 1997 season. I've been trying to find info on Gilliam, but can't find anything. This guy sounds like the best FB in the league blocking for one of the best RBs in the league. Why does Buffalo let him go?

Dolphins are so ****ed. For a few years anyway.
Because he will be used maybe 30% of the snaps, so it would make more sense, if you're up against the cap, to spend elsewhere. imoThis guy sounds like the best FB in the league blocking for one of the best RBs in the league. Why does Buffalo let him go?
Camp, then released to hopefully sign on PSSo Brock lampe will be released ?
Jets and Dolphins at $90mil dead money. Bills with $43 mil. We have a head start on the division for the time being.Dolphins are so ****ed. For a few years anyway.
