Gilliam is what you want in a FB.. Adding him helps with the run game, with play-action in the passing game and with Special Teams.. This is a good signing that helps us and hurts the Bills.

I guess no one wants or expects a FB to be able to catch passes so you're putting a lineman in I formation

I'd love to see a return to a Kevin Turner type of FB who can run and catch too but I guess that's ancient history

Regardless we all know how frustrated our goal line runs were last year - I'd think Gilliam helps punch through the line in those situations to improve a weak point from last year

Is it? Develiin was decent catching passes, though not used that much.. With guys like Stevenson and Henderson at RB, it's tough to take the ball out of their hands.
