Just curious which WR do you think is the most likely trade target or free agent do you think is the best fit and why? If trade, what do you think it will take to get them?

I think Alec Pierce is the most likely WR1 because Brown will require a high draft pick(s). Pierce is a good option if we want to continue to spread the ball around...Brown would be better if the Patriots feel we need a true #1 that is a volume receiver.

Pierce is my choice. Only costs money. Then look at Seamulo at G. Little on the older side so maybe a little cheaper. Mafe at edge. Then let whatever happens in the draft happen.

Maybe looking at Iheanachor or Lomu at 31. Jacas or Lawrence in R2. Trade up in the 3rd with one of our 4ths and pickup Stukes. Oscar Delp in the 4th.

Pierce, I would rather have an up and coming Pierce for just the $$$ than to give up high picks and big money to a receiver on the downside if his career.

Whichever one cost the least draft capital.
AJ is fine, but giving up a 1st and more is a terribly short sighted move imo.
AJ might be a better fit, "might", but I would not be interested in giving up anything more than a 2nd, and even that seems rich for me.

On the cheap end we could go for Bobo.

Belmont kid. Big target which seems to be what Drake likes.

Pierce is my guy, too much potential there. He may not be a #1/volume guy but i can see him doing great with maye and being well worth it. Not sure a volume guy is needed with how maye likes to spread the ball around. We do need the others to step up in the slot and intermediate areas

If we cant land pierce and the eagles aren’t backing off the first rounder for brown, i might look at wandale robinson at the right price

This.

Patriots don't necessarily need an elite receiver because the QB (thus far) is good enough to win with good receivers.

who is the best WR we can get with 31 in the draft?

thats who we target.

don't think there will be a big splash signing in FA at WR this year...

Why not Evans and take a round 1 or 2 shot

Evans said he wants a team that's going feed him the ball, and the Patriots have made it clear they won't do that for anyone. And they aren't looking to get older.

I've barely started breaking down this year's draft class, but based on the combine I'd be looking at Bryce Lance in the draft out of North Dakota State.

He looks like an Alec Pierce clone, and Pierce is very likely going to be too expensive.

Good WRs aren't cheap, it's just the market.
I do like Lance and someone I've been eyeing.
We will be adding at least 1 WR in the draft, but I can't imagine we go into the draft with our current WR room.
Depending on what we do in FA/trade, that will determine how how high we need to draft a WR.
I would prefer we don't go into the draft with WR as our #1 need, but time will tell.
