2026 Draft: Safety

The question is who.

Wheatley - He's similar to Woodson. Too similar?
Stukes - I think he can play FS allowing Woodson to do what he does best in defending the run. He does have limited snaps as a FS though so there would be a bit of a learning curve.
Thieneman - Ideal, but do we want to spend a 1st on a safety.
Ramsey - Has experience at FS although not this year.
McNeil-Warren - See Thieneman.
Genesis Smith - Legitimate FS but tackling issues.

Stukes is my choice but one of the things I like about him is his versatility - he can pretty much play anywhere in the defensive backfield. It seems a waste to restrict him to one position only so we'd probably need to sign a vet anyway. I think I'd give Hawkins his contract depending on what the guaranteed money is, draft Stukes and give him a year of unpressured development and cut Hawkins at season end.
Yup. His versatility allows him to play role(s) without the pressure. No better way to allow a talented player to learn the NFL.

I will happily let Mayo and you pick.

Treydan Stukes scouting report.

Very much worth noting he has 5-unit special teams experience. A big plus.

Here is my scouting report on Stukes:

Treydan Stukes is a "jack of all trades, master of none" player without a true position. He has some nice versatility and ST experience, and would be a good gamble for any team with 4 6th round picks.

Please send to 31 other teams, and all the draft mediots.

(In jest) I know but there are the skulkers, other teams' scouts, the FO types. Proprietary thoughts and discussion.
Other team's scouts and FO types could probably bill the subscription fee to their respective teams though. Well not Cincinnati's because they're tight when it comes to scouting.

Ian would have a record of who's spying on yous guys.
