Agreed and If it were anyone but the patriots id be pretty confused at the one sidedness. They are not THAT huge of favorites. I know im biased but i just don’t get how people look at this team and think they aren’t 100% for real for real, though my guess is they ARENT looking at the team close enough and just looking at the schedule. This team is built for titles

Elite hc who is defensive minded paired with an elite oc. Elite staff under them with a half dozen or so ex hc’s. Theyve had 2 weeks to prepare.

Elite qb who makes this a top ranked offense even with an average ol / passing weapons

Elite cb trio and dl, would give any qb fits.

elite run d , still nobody has been able to run on us with milton in.

Solid to great everywhere else. Solid st’s with a top pr. No major weaknesses to exploit (unless maybe you have great te’s but Seattle doesn’t)
I think the last three Patriots games combined with Seattle's playoff wins have led to these predictions. And the "easy" schedule factor. Recently bias is real.

Some people just listen to the music and can ignore or set aside a language difference, others don’t like that. Neither is wrong.
true enough

I find it strange that some seem to be arguing that it doesn't affect the entertainment value if you don't understand a word of what is communicated by a song.

So is that kid really injured and if so how serious is it with what little we know?

I think the Seahawks have a better roster than the Pats and are coached very well. I still give the coaching edge to the Pats.

Both teams should shut down the opposing run game. Overall the Seahawks have a better pass rush and have multiple players that get to the QB. The Seahawks RG and Center are in the top 10 for allowing quick pressures and the duo of Milt and Barmore are adept at creating quick pressures. I think that Maye gets sacked more than Darnold, but also think that he makes more big plays.

I think overall the Pats will be able to disrupt the pocket more than Seatle (pressures not sacks), but they won't get in the backfield every drop back and that makes me a bit nervous. I do think that our 2ndary will be able to play well against the Hawks WRs, but Darnold is a good QB and will make plays.

All said I think the Pats win by 6
Giving Seattle extra possessions/points is one way the Patriots get blown out. Maye needs to play like an MVP QB. Which he is fully capable of doing. McDaniels, Wilson and Campbell need to help him.

It's easy to say a QB is a huge x-factor. In this game, it will be truer than ever.

If "That Kid" is Nick Emmanwori, then yes, he's obviously got a low ankle sprain, and has been limping around on it.

He's got a couple of days for it to get better, but there's no way he'll be 100%, It will all depend as to which half he decides to get the toradol for.

Come on DB, you can like the guy's music or loathe it, but "I'm closing my eyes so he's invisible" isn't how evidence works. Here, I'll do the 5 seconds of legwork: Spotify official announcement that Bad Bunny was their #1 artist in the world for 2025. What's more, he's not only on the Latin music charts. He had a #1 hit with Cardi B that was absolutely inescapable some years back if you listened to the radio.

So yes, his audience is indeed huge. And if it's not the audience that typically follows NFL football, I'm guessing that's exactly the point.

Football fans will watch the Superbowl because it's the game of the year. The point of the halftime show is to rope in viewers who aren't fans, to make sure this is the top ad-sales event of the year and, hopefully, to lure in new fans who get caught up in the game between ads and musical acts. Young people, women, foreign audience, the NFL wants you! Gray-haired American men, the NFL loves you but isn't going to waste its energy attracting you. You're already in the bag.
Yes, Bad Bunny passed Taylor Swift on Spotify in 2025.

Perhaps that is as good a measure of popularity as Swift's 2 BILLION dollar tour.

Could you make it win by 8 so I don't drink too much?

In SB 49 the Patriots picked on Lane's replacement all game. Maybe they will get a backup in the back end to take advantage Sunday.

Sorry, PC, but Spotify's "ratings'" are easily manipulated. As are all "online rating" system. Claiming his audience is huge based on that is ridiculous. Just like it was ridiculous when the same sort of crap was said about Taylor Swift, Beyonce' and numerous other "artists".

It doesn't change the fact that I'd never heard of him prior to the announcement. Since then, the bit of research I've done puts him squarely in the "Garbage artist not worth listening to" category. If people can't be bothered to do their own research and see that the guy is a POS in the same category as Ray Lewis, that's on them.

Sorry, but it's pure BS to think that the guy is going to draw anyone to the game. He's not. Especially not when he craps all over the US in general.
So Taylor Swift's 2 BILLION dollar tour didn't convince you that she is popular?

Everyone's predictions are:

This game goes down to the last second or Seattle has it wrapped up by the third quarter. The alternative (Patriots win in blowout) would be unexpected and much easier on their fans liver.

Different from past SB artists, yes but Bowie, Peter Gabriel, Elton John, Freddie Mercury, etc. have all donned dresses in stage. It’s part of the performance.
And the question remains. So what? He's not a fan of Bad Bunny.

I was as big a Bowie fan as there is. Saw him in the 70's at the Gahden and what he looked like meant nothing. His music is what got us going. The men's room was off limits though. Holy cow.

I also had tickets to see Elton John at the Bicentennial concert in 1976, but I wasn't really a fan of his music. I was trying to impress a young lady. I would have really liked to see Mercury though. Not so much Gabriel.

One of my favorite singers of them all is Judy Garland and she's before my time.

Issue I have with Bad Bunny is that he lacks musical talent and seems to just be a waking political statement with no actual musical ability. If Prince was still alive and rolled out in a skirt I wouldn’t give a **** because the performance itself would be elite.

Not going to rehash the entire discussion but the so what was not to inlluence someone into liking something,

McDonald said that Emmanwori will be ready to go Sunday.

Yeah, on a sprained ankle 3 days before the SB? That dude is smoking some legit hopium.

I won’t lie…that made me cringe. Reminded me of the Texans rolling up in varsity jackets years ago.
Not even close. That was a one off thing for the Texans. This has been a thing for them since the season started and now with the playoffs it has become public. I don't have an issue with it. Doubt it's worn on game day.
