If I was a Ravens fan I would be mad right now lol. So it’s about raw stats again? Just not last year when they wanted to give it to Mr. Early January?

Happy for Vrabes. Honestly ? Vote between Maye and Stafford is about right…both deserved it. Whomever picked Justin…that’s the drunken dude who shows up at Thanksgiving, pisses on the turkey then everyone asks “who invited this guy?”

Stafford did have a hell of a year.

And this is coming from someone who dislikes Stafford for ****ting on GA fans and for having a wife who won’t STFU and talked openly about ****ikg him in college because he wasn’t paying enough attention to her.

How much you wanna bet it’s the second one, with someone dumping on Maye just out of spite?

We shall see tomorrow.

Edit: the math works out basically the same for Stafford, as well: he either had 2 thirds or 1 fifth.

Stafford had a great year but Puka was the MVP of the Rams.

It wouldn’t be the 1st time the MVP is on vacation and the runner up is winning the SB.

The MVP has been a narrative based award for a long time. In 2021, efficiency was more important than volume stat, last year doing more with less was more important and this year it was efficiency and doing more with less don’t matter and it’s volume stats that are more important.

Next year the narrative will change to give the MVP to anybody they want.

When you have guys like Orlovsky that voted for Stafford only because he is his buddy and looked like a moron trying to justify it. It’s guys like him that started pushing the volume and strength of schedule because that was the only thing they had to justify their votes. If he came out and said : I voted for Stafford because I like him. I would have at least respected that.

Edit: when you have guys like Orlovsky, Breer and Volin that have a vote for MVP. You know how unserious this award is

I think the overall show stunk. It was filled with sleaze, crap, and ignorance. You can't even get presenters to pronounce the winner's names correctly? What a joke and embarrassment to the NFL.

I also blame whoever decided not to include a pronunciation guide for his name on the card.

Stafford getting MVP along with the HOF debacle just proves how unserious the NFL is anymore. What a cluster**** down on 345 Park Ave.

If you can't pronounce Vrabel. you have no business doing it in the first place. Same thing with JSN.

Mr. Step out of the end zone didn't even know what "common opponents" means when confronted with the facts that Maye outplayed Stafford w common opponents, NFC South.
Watch til the end...

He knew perfectly what it meant. He just didn’t have any argument against it.

Bert Breer is live on NBC Sports Boston looking like he saw a ghost, not expecting his stupid ass vote would be the difference.

I'm getting really sick of Breer and Holley in particular. We shouldn't expect them to be Patriots cheerleaders, of course, but they routinely go too far in the opposite direction. All while being brash and loud in the name of "entertainment."

Or when Brady lost it to Rodgers.

Still not sure what the best strategy would be on Sunday. Put Gonzo on him or double him up?
Double him.

Would be sweet if the SB final score is Pats 24-23

Let Stafford have his MVP award last night. Drake will get his MVP award on Sunday. That MVP matters more.
I know that it has no bearing on the game, but Maye losing the MVP makes me more confident for Sunday. It just does.

I am happy Maye did not win MVP. It will add fuel to disrespect and also eliminates teb jinx. Usually MVP candidates lose the Superbowl or prior to that . Now that we are no longer jinxed or hexed let's go win the 7th.

I am sure there is enough fodder to fuel the disrespect card and get the players to perform above their potential.

I expect Tonga, jennings and Kyle Williams to make game changing plays .

absurd somebody voted for herbert
