2026 Mock Draft Thread

If Sadiq or Boston don’t slide to the Pats in 1st then I would be ok with a small trade down for someone like Stowers or Sarratt.
Otherwise, I like players like CJ Allen, Peter Woods (not a great fit but he can play) or Anthony Hill.

A lot of OL will be available early (top 3 rounds) as well so we can stack that position, and turn it into a big strength.

Blake Miller seems to have moved up into the first. I liked him but never seen him ranked that high since early last year.

An edge guy is almost a must in the top 65 picks.

Interesting 3-round mock from AtoZ:

They have the Pats taking:

31. R Mason Thomas, EDGE, Oklahoma
63. Caleb Tiernan, OL, Northwestern
95. Antonio Williams, WR, Clemson

I hate the 1st 2 picks, love the 3rd - Williams could easily go 50 picks earlier, would upgrade Pop Douglas in 2026 and succeed Stephon Diggs in 2027.

They have Monroe Freeling going 17, Max Iheanachor 23, Blake Miller 27. Also Treydan Stukes at 39, Devon Moore at 53.

But still at 32:

- DT Lee Hunter (33)
- OT Caleb Lomu (34)
- EDGE TJ Parker (41)
- S Dillon Thieneman (43)
- EDGE Akheem Mesidor (47)
- EDGE Zion Young (55)
- LB Jake Golday (57)
- OG Emmanuel Pregnon (85)

Another example that good players will slip through the cracks.

In this scenario I'd do 1 of 2 things:

1. Take Akheem Mesidor at 31/32. Arguably BPA, meets a huge need. Even if we re-sign Chaisson and sign a UFA EDGE like Oweh, Mesidor would give us a potentially dominant EDGE group. I don't like Caleb Tiernan - I think he's too stiff and not athletic enough to be a starter - but we could wait until 2027 for a RT and add Emmanuel Pregnon at LG. Campbell-Pregnin-Wilson would be an awesome left side of the line.

2. Take Caleb Lomu at 31/32. Last top OT available. Definitely worthy, fits a major need. Then try to trade up for Mesidor, Parker, Young or Golday. If not possible, Malachi Lawrence (80) at 63/64 works. In this mock CB Brandon Cisse falls to 70, and would also be a worthy option.

In this mock, Keionte Scott falls entirely out of day 1-2. I can't see that happening, but if it did, I'd rush to trade up.

A mock of:

a) A. Mesidor- E. Pregnon - A. Williams- K. Scott

b) C. Lomu - best EDGE - A. Williams - K. Scott

would be pretty awesome.

Agree that they will have someone worth taking at that spot. I trust them to pick the right player. I've seen a lot of Mocks with what i would call fairly massive reachers all around.

Why do i constantly see Howell go in round 1? He is not a first round prospect. And he is not the only example of that. One of the few advantages of picking late is you are in a great position to get value. Ideally there will be 31 chances for someone to make a mistake, reach or pick someone clearly not worth their spot for need. A few teams will absolutely do this.

And as someone mentioned before the more i think about it the more i want to trade up in the 2nd. No one likely to be there at 64 excites me much. There will be interesting players, but likely no one who moves the needle much for the Pats this year at 64. I'd trade a 4th and some 6 to move up. 10 or so picks if there is someone there. They don't need all the picks they have.

This guy disagrees

I found this one to be pretty intersting
Mesidor
Rodriguez
Eli Stowers

Hmmm. Obviously I love the first two names but as a package? I'm not so sure.

Sorry to be a Mesi-bore but I saw an interesting take on his age. Last year, the Toledo DT Darius Alexander was getting late first, high second love but was also a 25 year old rookie. He fell to pick 65. Now that we're starting to see mocks with Mesidor going in the teens even, which has had me worried, Alexander's fall does re-assure me that Mesidor will too. I don't think it would be as far, Mesidor was a leading pass rusher from a Nat Champs finalist rather than a DT from a smaller school so I wouldn't pass on him hoping he falls to 64. However, I do think a fall to 32 is still very possible.
I saw a mock and reddit and for our pick they had Cashius Howell. They said that would have went with Mesidor but because of his age he went with Howell. I laughed like a lunatic because they were both born in 2001. I am not sure what month either were born but they are currently both 24

I didn't realise howell is that old.

The worst thing in this draft would be Mesidor at 32 and we pass on him.

The best thing would be Mesidor falling to 64 and we take him.

Is he too much like Keion White though?
He appears to be more athletic and can shed blocks better, but I also get the similarity. I am not a fan of his play for our current defense, but if we were still a 3-4 2 gap DL then I would like him more.

I’ve been thinking about this one. Swap Crownover for Stowers and take one of Delp, Raridon or Klein in the 4th and I’d be much happier.

I think it seems worse this year than the last couple because it feels like there are fewer actual 1st round graded players, at least from my perspective. I do not think R Mason Thomas is 1st round worthy either but have seen him in loads of mocks in the late 20s ot to us.

Thomas looks very small to me

Edit: I have seen Thomas comped to the Colts Robert Mathis and on 2nd thought if we could get that in the 1st I would tolerate the pick.

I could live with that just fine. Im really torn on Rodriguez because im not sure where he fits on this team, but he's a baller.

Well Gibbens is probably a gonner.

See how FA shakes out. I would be interested in Trey Henderson.

Did some more wheeling and dealing. Could have this year's Gronk and Hernandez combo. Hopefully neither turnout to be murderers.

Nice Mock.

Cynthia Frelund with an interesting mock, as usual:

She has the Pats taking Caleb Banks at 31, with Akheem Mesidor and Max Iheanachor both available. I think Banks is a top 10 talent.

Blake Miller and Monroe Freeling go 28/29.

Banks and try to trade up for Iheanachor?

Iheanachor and try to trade up for Mesidor? TJ Parker goes 20 in this mock.
