2026 Draft: WR

Well Greathouse didn't play but that's by the by. Even at Virginia he didn't put up more than 60 catches and 810 yards in a season. In fact, and I've only just noticed this, statistically, he has got worse each of the last three years.

I like his tape, I just wonder why he's never been able to dominate so I'm left wondering whether he has the athleticism or route running skill to do so - he certainly has the catch ability. My guess is that he's lacking in both. I worry he's more N'Keal Harry than Tet McMillan.

I'm willing to be proven wrong but I wouldn't take the risk in the first.
Well if he runs 4.53 or better he'll be in the conversation at his size.

There is risk with any prospect. Is Fields more Tet McMillan or N'Keal Harry? That is the question.

Some would claim he was never really integrated into the ND offense, which was built around the RBs. Others would suggest an underlying question mark of some sort.

In a deep WR draft, I personally would not risk a 1st or 2nd on Fields, but I could be 100% wrong. I would look at both testing an interviews - does he have the drive and heart?

Luck and situation also both important.

Harry is the worse possible comparison one of the reasons I was down on Drake London *unfair* to London. Based on where we are Drafting Malachi Fields might be a luxury. Somebody gotta snag Maye's errant passes from time to time. Can we say Catch Radius.

What have Barefoot Mack Hollins thought us?? A Big WR and Drake Maye are a match made in heaven.

A not insignificant difference in the cost of acquisition. As I said, I may be proven wrong on Fields, I just don't think the risk of a first round pick is warranted, particularly when I see greater needs elsewhere.

From the Second Round on in where I'm thinking.

@manxman2601 @Mayo @bakes781 nice analysis on where he thinks the WR's are going. He said nothing about M Fields not even in the Fourth Round.

I'll take Ted Hurst over Fields.
The hate for M Fields is real.

WR Bryce Lance said to tell you Scouts hello: Christian Watson pt.II. He said the way you Scouts are talking up WR's: he'll probably be a 16th Round pick when it's all said and done. Bryce Lance is pissed Off.

When life gives you lemons...

If teams listen to Steve Smith maybe Carnell Tate will drop to us
Steve Smith made me like Wheelchair Javon Baker. His Scouting of WR's took a hit with me after that: sorry Steve.

This guy is what I wanted to see from the infamous T-Mac last year lol Similar in size but he shows the toughness that I felt Tet lacked.

S Smith really liked Kyle Williams too, #1 in 2025 I think. So Vrabel and crew align with S Smith. Just saying!!
