What an awful day to be a Bills or Jets fan.
Doofins fans have sore ***es too….a lot of disrespect for Pats from a lot of bitter fans and analysts going on…..Vrabel will have tons of bulletin board material !!!!

Opening line is Pats +3.5 dogs

Can't wait to hear 2 weeks of how the NFC Championship game was the Super Bowl, we got the motivation this time no one is going to believe in us unlike today where we had everything to lose.
Disrespect is already happening big time!

The seahawks are a run first offense with a massive weak link on their OL in RG Anthony Bradford. Expect the pats to attack him.

The defense will keep them in this game. How much they can get out of the offense vs. an elite seahawks defense will determine the game IMO. Their pass rush is a step below the texans & broncos so they should be able to make plays downfield.
Thanks for that info….everyone is talking about the Seahawks like they are the 85 bears….but we have faced two defenses (maybe 3?) that are ranked higher than Seattle. Their offense is good very good but not unstoppable….in think we match up very well against them. Need to review the D that was used against Darnold when he was seeing ghosts and employ those schemes and McD has to put his creative hat on and utilize our WR like Douglas, Chism and Diggs better ….and more quick throws to TE….

Quirky stat..

Is Santa Clara (37.3541° N, 121.9552° W) really "east" of Seattle (47.6062° N, 122.3321° W)?

I think Maye will play well. His OL will not have AS hard of a time, he will have all his WRs healthy, and he will be playing in nice warm weather in SoCal on a neutral field. McDaniels will have two weeks to come up with the perfect plan and prep Maye.
I hope you’re right ….McD playcalling has been average at best….he needs to step up

Hate to say it but, Darnold is a damned good QB. If we are waiting for him to have a bad game, well he hasn’t had a bad game in over 2 months, threw 4 INTs vs the Rams on 11/16/25, and still only lost by 2 points.

This is a scary team, great running back, JSN, Kupp, Shaheed at WR, and Darnold at QB. Just scary. Defensively, they are scary.

Our defense has been playing lights out in the playoffs, but Maye hasn’t played a great 60 minute game in over a month. Really need to hope the defense can pressure Darnold and slow down the run game. I really am hoping the Pats play the best game of the year, and Maye plays the best game of the year. Really need to see the 70% completion QB that Maye was all year. Can’t have a sub 50% game.
They have 2 good RB Charbonnet and Walker. Walker didn’t do that well most of the season when Charbonnet healthy. We need MUCH more out of Henderson in SB….where are the passes to him McD?!

A few different approaches:

1) get to Darnold quick. Don’t let him get comfortable, blitz the **** out of him. Jam the WRs at the line, and be physical as hell. Gonzo on JSM.

Or

2) confuse him. Mix blitzes with 4 man fronts. Bracket coverage JSM and have Gonzo eliminate Shaheed.

First, we need to eliminate the run at all costs. If they get to 2nd and 3rd and short, it will be a long day. If we can consistently pressure them and get to 3rd and long, the more we’ll see old Sam Darnold come out and get some turnovers.

It will be our toughest game, but we can win.
Yes! Getting Sam off his spot and seeing ghosts is key in this one. I think you start with 1 and morph to 2 later in the game.

This game is very winnable if the Pats execute. We match up well. Offense is going to be heavy pass, so Drake is going to have to be on his game. We ultimately want this one in the low 20's max.

Seattle also has elite special teams - need to keep up with them there, punt game and field position has to be solid.

Charbonnet tore his ACL in the NFCDG

.p
But it's easier for them to see against a dark background...

I would go with darker colors.
I get why you feel that way
I think the karma factor. If I was a player on their team I would want white/white for what those colors stood for this year. 9-0 on road. Those are road colors. They are Road Warriors. I’m sure they did not wear them every road game But Most.

According to Copilot:

Seahawks Offensive Line – Key PFF Metrics

CategoryPFF Rank
Run BlockingTop‑10
Pass BlockingBottom‑third
Interior OL (Pass Pro)Major weakness
Tackle PlayClear strength
PFF repeatedly highlighted Seattle’s interior pass protection as the limiting factor, despite improved play overall
