Post your predictions here for the 2025 Postseason:

DIVISIONAL ROUND:
New England Patriots at Denver Broncos.

This contest is open to everyone. It's both a weekly and a season-long contest. Stakes are bragging rights.

******** Above the reply box is now an area to make your score prediction: ************

Here's an example of what it looks like:

You just slide the red markers and select your score, and then post your reply with your prediction and any additional comments in this thread so we can keep it the same way it always has been, with the exception of having you pick your score. This allows either me or @alamo to update the results much faster, ie: I've been posting the results within a day or two after the game

You will also want to drop a comment with your prediction as well for the sake of keeping the spirit of this contest intact as that's how @alamo has always done it and it remains part of the scoring process. The scrollbars are just to make it easier to tally and provide the results faster, while the comments also help back you up in case of any issues, along with the fact that it's fun to drop little anecdotes ahead of kickoff.

Getting back to the rules, as a one-time allowance for computer problems, forgetfulness, or whatever, one week can be missed and will be assigned that week's average score.

SCORING:

Your score is the COMBINED deviation of your predicted score for the Pats and opponents REGARDLESS OF DIRECTION.
For example, if you predict Patriots 31 Broncos 23 your score is how many points off of 31 the Pats are (over or under does not matter) PLUS how many points off of 23 the Broncos are (over or under again does not matter). Game winner does not matter. Lowest score wins.

You may change your prediction at any time before kickoff, which the window will close at that time and your selection will stand. Please keep this thread to predictions only (after you make the pick), no back-and-forth discussion of the game. A short comment explaining your pick is OK and encouraged after you've made your selection.

Good Luck!

Like last week, Patriots do just enough to advance against a tough Denver defense.

Hard to see Us allowing more than 10 points to Stidham.. the defense is playing at a Championship level.. Drake bounces back from the divisional game..

Their defense is tough but, not as tough as Houston's was. I think the Pats will get an early lead, but our defense will tire in the thin air in the second half which allows Denver to get to 17. Our offense on the other hand though tired will be able to add at least one more score to bring it to 30.

Stidham has a respectable-ish game because of their OL, but their defense can absolutely be had...and it will be.

Man I hate to do this but they are in Denver and we know what usually happens there with Patriot teams. I hope I'm wrong!

I'm sticking with the scary big margin of victory that's been working so far. All the arguments for a close game make sense. But their offense kinda sticks and ya stiddy might have a miracle game. Their defense is really good but buffalo moved through them like swiss cheese. I'm glad I'm not a gambler.

Low scoring, defensive battle. Maye needs to hang on to the ball, that's the fatal flaw. Counting on them to fix it this week.

17-6 good guys.

Before the Nix injury I would have said we play this game 10 times the Patriots win 5. No Nix makes me think it's now 7. Still have to deal with probably the best home field in football and between the Broncos having played Sat and a travel day them having an extra 2 days to prepare. There is a not impossible path if they play a clean game and the Patriots don't for the Broncos to win.

All that said idk why just a gut feeling I think the Patriot offense comes out on all cylinders and this is almost comfortably over by the end of the third. Broncos make a bit of a comeback to make it look respectable and us to sweat a tiny bit before the defense slams the door shut.
