I would trade a 3rd rounder for him just so this ridiculous trade talk would end. Oh wait...that made no sense.

Fortunately the trade talk will finally stop in a week anyway.

Why is that a fact ?

No doubt Dawson and AJ Derby would be curious to hear that answer as well. Hightower is probably past considering it

Some facts to keep in mind.

He's 32 years old (not that the Pats are thinking long term).
He's due I think about 5M for the rest of the year and is an URFA after this year.
Since 2017 he has played in 3 seasons. In one he was injured, in the other he missed 4 games. This is the first time he has been healthy in a while. That being said in the last 3 years he totaled 555, 868 and so far this year 367 yards.

Not an elite guy. A #2 when healthy... MAYBE

I have no idea what the Broncos are looking to get for him.... frankly a 5th would be generous. If they are looking for more they're crazy. Top end half year rentals are worth a 4th. That is well established.

Even with the comp pick they can't expect much.

Sanu has the advantage of being signed for 2020.

Green, Sanders and Hooper are rentals. Essentially, the patriots would need to hope to sign a new contract. For me, these players only make sense if the contract has been already negotiated. The teams could allow these players to negotiate; it is possible. However, since all these players have more than one likely suitors, the current team might want to simply have the agents not deal with other teams, so that they can do their own negotiations.

Folks don't like Sanu because we already have his skill set in others. For me, that matters little.
Sanu would be our #2 WR. Josh would be able to make him value in game plans.

If I'm Denver, and I have the choice between trading Sanders to the Eagles or Patriots, I choose the out of conference team if it's the same compensation. NE may need to add another pick to sweeten the deal.
If it’s the same compensation any team is probably better than the patriots because the patriots always pick end of the round or close to. But that’s different than saying there’s no way Denver trades with the patriots.

Sanders is pretty much the only thing that works on the Broncos offense. I would give a second round for him, but I don’t know anything about current or future salary.

Go big and bold.

Keenan Allen would blow this passing offense up. 27 years old. Deal a 2nd and change.

I dont want to pay a 3rd for a guy a year away from guest hosting Fox Sports on Sunday mornings.

I'd give a 2nd for Sanders and a 4th. He would give Pats an extra option on 3rd down and help with depth behind Edelman if he is ever banged up.

I think we can get him with a 3rd round comp pick

I would love this but not sure if we even have the cap space even with trading away Bennett to get him

That’s too much for a rental.

Just wait for AB :p

Broncos will not trade to Patriots. That is a fact.

BillB has good standing with Falcons. More likely Sanu, maybe Hooper. Get both would be great since injuries is plaguing the Patriots. Better safe than sorry, in terms of loading up offsensive targets..

Not true!

Patriots traded Duke Dawson to the Broncos before the season started.
