Brandon Bolden as our fullback????

Andy and I had a war over this years ago.

Bolden seems like he could be a Patrick Pass 2.0 to me which is not really a battering ram up the gut but more of a counter run, sweep blocking type. Plus he can catch the ball.

He's never really done it so who knows if he can

Bolden is outplaying Michel as pass-catching RB. Why would we move him to FB.

40 pounds?

35 is more reasonable.
Screw him. Stick one of those triple bacon crust large Little Caesars every day for a before bedtime snack and he'll get there.

He can be a pass catching option at FB.

Sorry if this has been touched upon but I think this is a logical choice. Question is would he be willing???? He has the size and knowledge of the system. Plus would be great in play action. Thoughts....

Develin 4 inches taller and 30 pounds heavier

What if I told you that Michel had the same amount of receptions and only 13 fewer yards than Bolden as a pass-catcher while providing the advantage that the other team will most probably line up in base.

Jeremy Hill. His weight has been between 230-240 during his career. He's a good pass blocker...might be ok run blocking as well if given the chance...he can catch too.

I bet LeGarrette's between 240-250 as well. CJ Anderson? Eddie Lacy is 250.

I’d tell you Bolden has done it on fewer targets and has zero drops, unlike Michel. I’d also point out Bolden has averaged 6.9 yards per touch while Michel has averaged 3.9. So please tell me again, what’s the advantage playing Michel?

I really don't know where you are getting your stats from but I'd go and check again before claiming Bolden has zero incompletions because that is not the case. Similarly, I have no idea where you have the 6.9 and 3.9 numbers from because they make no sense whatsoever based on PFR data.

What it boils down to is Michel is a superior talent when it comes to the bread and butter which is power run. Also since they have made it a point to throw 2-3 targets to him which is for the last two games he has outgained Bolden easily there as well.

So if you think we can just stay with shotgun runs, throw out the portion of the playbooks with power running because it has looked not particularly efficient so far and keep finding ways to scheme Bolden free to make him effective then I don't know what to tell you.

Lol

Andy has been quiet lately.
There might other forums that are getting his attention. He could be smack dab in the middle of an argument about old cars or lawn care or something.

He's been standing outside yelling at his neighbor's house for the past week. His neighbor is on vacation.

Jeez, cut Bolden some slack will ya? If we're willing to give him a week to gain 35-40 lbs it's not unreasonable to give the guy until after the bye to grow 4 inches

Let's hope it's cars and not lawn care. Not only does that require a very particular set of skills but those guys are more tenacious than he is and significantly meaner
