Shouldn't someone who was raped file a police report?

That's for the person who was allegedly raped to decide, not me.

What does that question have to do with the post you quoted?

A lot of women don't. Also, a lot of women attempt to and the police make it very hard for them. Not saying that's the case here, but it's important to not use the fact that no police report was filed as a smoking gun that nothing happened.

I heard some exec floated the idea of remaking the Princess Bride. Crazy.

While they're at it they should get on remakes of The Wizard of OZ and Gone With The Wind

Belichick doesn't want to cut AB just so the Chiefs can sign him. Either AB plays for the Pats, or the league makes it so AB plays for NOBODY and the Pats maybe get out of paying him. It wouldn't surprise me if he'd be fine with either one at this point.
I actually had this identical thought.... signing AB was more about keeping him from KC, and BB would have no problemo if the NFL suspends him

It just seems that there was a proper way to handle things laid out in your post.
Not satisfied with work etc = file a suit.
Raped = File a report etc

AB 11-130-1 stat line against jets this week. My prediction

Great player, bad human, not up to me so I'll enjoy him on Sundays while he lasts

Or maybe she doesn’t have any evidence. Brown has already stated it was consensual. Brown would already be on the exempt list if there was concrete evidence in her text or what’s a prove she has.

POLL: Do YOU Still Want AB Here?

Sure.

Agree no more should we use a civil suit, which is flimsy at best, filed by a dishonest person as proof something happened.

It works both ways. I dont like AB. But I just want justice. If he is found guilty, throw the book at him. If he isnt and she is lying, throw it at her.

AB is ruining my enjoyment of this football season. Instead of hearing about the Patriots, their defense, and matchups, I hear about AB all the faulking time, its AB 24/7. I am sick of it. I want to hear about football, not a faulking soap opera.

Since when is football not a soap opera? There's like 90 plays a game and a week to fill in between them. Brown's sucking up all the air but it's not like this is abnormal, there's always narratives.

Different people want different kinds of revenge.

If a person is raped, or violently attacked, it is for them to decide.

Some folks might prefer not having to work for the rest of their lives (paid for by the guilty party) as revenge. Some would prefer to go through a criminal trial and see the guilty party go to jail, with nothing good happening to the victim.

It just seems that there was a proper way to handle things laid out in your post.

I voted yes based on what we know.

People are typically not black and white. They have a ton of different motivations for doing something. It's possible that Brown raped and/or sexually assaulted Taylor but that they had a complicated relationship (before and even after). It's also possible, that while the sexual misconduct was painful for her, she wants money out of the ordeal (maybe because she needs it).

Perhaps she thinks filing a police report and subjecting him to possible jail time will hurt her chances of receiving a payout.

I'm not saying any of this is true. I'm just saying people are complicated, and there can be explanations for all sorts of behavior. Someone could be sexually assaulted, and find a monetary payout to be the most important thing to them.

There has never been so much consensus in the media on an issue - that Brown should be suspended or place on exempt list - that's how I KNOW I'm doing the right thing by wanting him to play and tear it the F up...My football players need not be choirboys...until Brown is charged with a crime, he plays...

It really is amazing to see all these media clown shows - Phil Perry, Bert Breer, Tom Giles, Marc Bertrand, etc, almost BEGGING for Goodell to take action...and now they've started demeaning fans that want this to play out....

She went from 10 million to 2 million. Why didn’t she stay with the 10 million? Seems like she’s willing to take anything to make brown pay her.

I agree. But isnt it better to get a violent rapist off the streets (if he is one) so he can't do it to someone else?

Those two matters aren't analogous, as one is a criminal charge and the other is a civil suit.

If you agree to pay a contractor for work done, and you do not wish to pay for whatever reason(s), then the situation needs to be resolved -- you can't just leave bills unpaid.

If you are raped, there is no obligation involved after being raped in the same way there is after having work done by a contractor. Additionally, the woman DID file a suit; yes, it was a civil, not a criminal suit, but she did in fact file a formal complaint.

Apples and oranges.

You prove my point. I am not saying she's telling to truth. I am just saying we don't know and should wait to see how it plays out. You, and others, are so vehemently defending Brown without knowing the truth.

That said, all these other allegations, as well as the recent texts, don't paint Brown favorably and are a distraction.
