Antonio Brown

1 - there are people who don't want Brown playing for the Pats
2 - Brown is helping them achieve that goal

If I were betting, I'd say neither of them do until something criminal comes down the road - which it really should have by this point, and hasn't, so...that's weird too.

The NFL's reluctant to put someone on the exempt list over a civil case, so I would be surprised if it came from them first. Patriots have an out in the contract now if they want it. I'm not sure Bob Kraft can really stake out the moral high ground at this point, but we'll see.

This latest bs about the texts allows the Pats/NFL to say Brown is hurting the NFL.

The allegations were one thing. AB technically couldn't control those (if hes innocent of course).

Now he's just being an idiot.

NFL won't like seeing this on every news outlet this morning.

Only reason I'm slightly suspicious because she is not pursuing (at least not to my knowledge) filing a criminal complaint.

Robert.... it's not a crime. Police can't do anything..... the most she could do is file a restraining order, but I doubt very much a judge would grant her one.

That's such a lousy way of looking at it.... regardless of the intent or motive behind sending her these texts, it still qualifies as harassment IMO

harassed; harassing; harasses
: to create an unpleasant or hostile situation for especially by uninvited and unwelcome verbal or physical conduct
How is sending a text to someone who criticized you in a magazine and calling them a liar harassment.
By your narrow definition she harassed him
by doing the article and I am harassing you by responding to your post.

I am in no way defending him but are they sure these are real texts he sent? I just can't imagine anyone being that stupid, while being investigated, every media outlet following his every move, would send out any message to one of these women. If it is indeed a real text from him he definitely has a few screws loose.
It’d be pretty easy to prove wouldn’t it? Seems unlikely they’d fake that. AB is pretty reckless, it’s believable.

threatens kids? How do people come up with stuff like this? Please read before posting crap like this

You’re clueless if you don’t know why he put pictures of her kids in a text where he asks others to look into her

Well the key here, is that it allows the Patriots to say he's hurting the Patriots brand, from an act he did after actually joining the Patriots - a line that hadn't been crossed until yesterday.

And he was an idiot long before this. And I don't necessarily think he's innocent, either.

Some of you need to read. AB is a nut case, yes. But no where did he threaten her kids. He showed a pic of her kids which she probably posted on social media to exemplify his point.

So your position is what AB sent her is not harassment and cannot be pursued in a criminal complaint?

I'm sure the cops have a great case against him

Someone better tell me where he threatened the kids. I am having an awful hard time seeing it.

What is more disturbing is the hatchet job people are doing to AB. Is he perfect? Nope. Who really is? Could he have been smarter and better? Sure.

Why all of a sudden is he a grade A turd once he is a Pat? Anyone stop and ask that? The more that comes out the more I sit back and laugh.

No, I mean, yesterday. She went to SI and the NFL, not the police.

What would police do? I don’t think this is criminal. Police see hundreds of worse texts every day

And if that's the position, then what are we talking about here?

If he sent her these texts out of the blue based on an SI article, it certainly qualifies as harassment. If they’ve had some sort of back-and-forth over, say, the past month or so, then “harassment” becomes a little murkier.

my gosh.,. he posted pics of her kids to show she was broke. He states this exactly in the texts.

Then what are we talking about here?

If it's not a crime, why is SI making it out to be a mob hit?

I believe that the personal conduct policy has the tentacles to have him suspended now....of course he could appeal, mention the voices in his head, and then agree to therapy

If the Pats or Goodell deep six Antonio Brown, just remember this team is one Edelman injury or one Josh Gordon bong hit or rail of coke away from playing on wild card weekend if they're lucky...

That is just dumb, even for your standards.

clearly states in the texts
I don’t see it.
She accused him of owing her money and he asks his attorney(?) employer(?) hornet Eric b is to check out her background because he thinks it’s all a money grab.
What is the issue with that?
