Smart move by BB but wonder what it does for locker room harmony. Would hate to lose any good young talent at WR, however.

Surprised no one posted this yet (that I have seen):

Probably should not be allowed by league rules. If a player forces his way off a team for bad behavior and said team is forced to release that player, thta player should probbaly not be able to sign with another team for at least a a year.

Had to be some tampering. Rosenhaus? C’mon lol.
I am not naïve enough to ignore the possibility that there were some wink-wink conversations with the agent about Brown. I just don't really care.

Why? In what fever dream does that make sense?

The Raiders weren't forced to release Brown, nor did he violate any league rules.

Not sure why any patriots fan would like this signing. The receiver group they had was pretty good already. Doeas adding AB really add that much to the team???? Now if we are talking Trent Williams or a dominant DT, I would be all for that.
This guy is a jerk, plain and simple. When was the last time the Patriots had a complete selfish a-hole on their team? Last year when he did not get the ball enough, he whined and cried his way out of PIttssburgh. Who thinks he won't do the exact same thing here?

The only reason I can figure out why BB did this is because he knows this may be Brady's last year in NE and he wants to go all in for one final SB run.

They were essentially forced to release him. He had them under a barrel, keep him and distract the entire team or let him go.
Threatening to punch a GM in the face and calling him a biotch is violating team rules, right?

I think a year suspension is pretty harsh. Such a thing could never pass the CBA.

I’m watching the afccg again and i see Brady drop back and throw to hogan dorsett and Patterson and realize now that will be AB Gordon and Demaryius and I think of I was the other team I’d be peeing my pants

The final run stuff was thrown around when we got Cooks - 3 years ago.

With today's developments, I'm thinking all this pre season super hype build up is just going to put Gronk over the top in a few weeks - he won't want to miss out on this ride with the boys. If BB, the coaches, & TFB keep everything in check, the Patriots could produce a historic season.

But like everything else in life, key moments are very fleeting. It won't magically re appear when your pushing 55 or so and starting to get gray. You don't want to be asking yourself "what if". If he's physically healthy, I think the chance for another fabulous ride and another ring from Mr Kraft will be one strong lure Gronk won't be able to resist. And for us Patriots fans, wow.....what a time, certainly never to be repeated again.

If we can get a redemption W against that ballssack of a face, Eli Manning and his daddy. I'll welcome the idea of Brady, Gronk and/or Edelman retiring.

We just can't let have Brady retire without getting one last shot at that putrid franchise and their lucky helmet catch of a Super Bowl.

I, for one, am excited because I could copy and paste your post above, substitute facts and opinions from 12 years ago like I did, and not have this look out of place.

I’m bracing for Haynesworth redux, but right now I’m riding sky high over the scenario above.

Yes it does improve the team, and yes ABs teams have won a lot of games. He isn’t OBJ who acted like a douche while losing

The NFL does not want what happens in the NBA to happen in this league, e.g. Anthony Davis demanding a trade from the Pelicans and forcing his way out of town. What makes the NFL great is that so many teams have a legitimate team to compete for the SB every year. If this bs is allowed to go on with star players gaming their way out of a non preferred team, the NFL will become like the NBA. A few superteams and no one else with any chance at all for SB

The above is more evidence that Saturday night drunk posting is not the way to go...

I have to think Hater Nation's response to this news is right up there with waking up the morning after going to bed 2/3 of the way through SB 51 and going "wait ... what?"
