Not Brady’s Best Game...

So doesn't every QB. TB is not immune it's just that everyone expects him to be perfect

He wasn’t good. Luckily his best quarter was the fourth. He was really innacurate tonight. Stop ballwashing

Colts fans ahahahaah, did they watch Luck a few weeks ago? Lol

most of the bad throws were caused by pressure or confusing coverage...

It was his worst Super Bowl. By a large margin. Innacurate throws. Took a bad sack. He can play bad, and the rams defense can play well. Both statements can be true

I'm not going to slot Brady's game compared to other SBs, or even to grade it as a solo effort. I'm just going to point out that, once again, in a game where people are banging on Brady's play, we see other issues that get largely ignored:

  • Odd, and questionable, play calling by McDaniels
  • More tipped passes than usual, including a tip at the line on the interception
  • Big drops
  • Hogan not producing

How much a is leading to b, and how much b is causing a, I'll leave for y'all to decide. This was the Super Bowl, the Patriots won, and Brady now has the most SB wins of any player in NFL history.

Imagine we won a SB with one of our weakest individual performances being by TB12. That speaks to how well the rest of the team - nearly to a man - played.

Hogan can’t beat Peters - that much is certain. Didn’t in the opener last year either.

Brady's lost alot of physical skills. He's 41. He's still a good field general though. We just turned it on when we had to AS A TEAM. I'm proud of these guys for making this a memorable season even though it didn't look like it would be after that Miami debacle.

Rams were disguising coverages well. At times would have a man follow the motion receiver, and then switch to zone. I think Brady was unsure of the D he was seeing at times.

He played well under pressure when he most had to in the fourth quarter. Thta should suppersed a few bad plays earlier in the game. No one is saying he played great...BUT he lead them to victory against a super tough defense.

Hopefully by the 4thQ, you figure the defense out. Goff never did.

Even in a game he didn't play great, he still made that one drive we needed to win. GOAT.

Of his 9 Super Bowl appearances, Brady has led the Patriots to a 4th quarter (or overtime) go-ahead score in 8 of them. The only one where it didn't happen was 2011. In that 2011 game, the Patriots entered the 4th with the lead, but never scored in the quarter.

So Tom Brady has had his team either tied or in the lead at some point in the 4th quarter in every single one of his 9 Super Bowl appearances.

This was a complete reversal from last year's superbowl.. the defense carried the team pitching a virtual shutout and the offense did what they needed to at the end of the game to put it away

They need to get Brady some legitimate outside deep threats tho, Gordon would have been a thing of beauty in that offense today with those 1 on 1 shots instead of Hogan who went 0 catches on 6 targets, including one that deflected up into the air for an INT

They need to draft a WR and they need to get a solid veteran in FA or trade.. Gronk could retire, Edelman is getting up there in age, Hogan has 1 year left and not someone you really need to have in the long term picture.. someone like Calvin Ridley would have helped a lot in this offense and help Brady through his last couple years here

Sony was a huge pickup, can't wait to see how Wynn has recovered from his injury and see if he can be the player they think he can be..

Hunter Renfroe unless BB and Nick see something they don’t like. Dude comes up huge in Champ games is all I know. Good character guy as well.

I’ve been saying we needed Renfrow for a long time. He could be the next Edelman

Yeah. If Mitchell didn’t have a jacked up knee he would have fit the bill. You think Hunter will be around in round 2? I think he will.

Probably. He would be a steal but bill never drafts players that I think he will draft. It’s not talent, it’s whoever can fit in the system
