Toss up between Richard Seymour or Vince Wilfork. Definitively Stopping the run would make a win a certainty

He's only been mentioned once so far, but I think he may be the pick. Prime Troy Brown. Having him on the field with Edelman at the same time would overload a secondary. They might have one shifty, quick corner, but now they need two. With Moss you may need the line to hold longer, and with Donald I'm not sure if that would be the case. Edelman and Troy both gets you quick wins, screens, and easy 7 yard completions all day.

Plus, another punt returner Edelman's caliber. Have them both line up deep and the punter may have to aim out of bounds. Or one shallow, one deep so that things like the Edelman near muff doesn't happen.

Lastly, Brown can play corner in a pinch.

Vrabel. He'd likely have a sack, a couple QB pressures, and one TD.

The entire BB era, and for just this one game? Top 5:

  1. Moss (2007)
  2. Seymour (Prime years)
  3. Wilfork (Prime years)
  4. Welker (Prime years)
  5. Revis (2014)

There are a lot of tough omits, but those would be the top 5 choices, and probably in the order listed. I could see flipping Seymour and Wilfork, depending on the game plan.

For this game another receiver would be nice ... Moss or Troy maybe?
Then again could I have Dillon - Michel - White and Develin as backs?
Or a TE like Hernandez or Coates...really Hernandez.

That's a great pool of players to choose from. I think one should pick with matchup issues in mind, unless you go for a Maximum talent.

If we're going Talent Route, it's hard to pass up on '07 Moss. It's like adding another dimension to current offensive game, even if he ends up catching 3 for 60 yards or sth. He commands much more attention than any other weapon and I'm sure Brady could exploit it.

For matchup - I'd love to beef up against the rush. Someone like '03 Seymour, '12 Wilfork, maybe '03 Washington? Maybe getting a Pro Bowl linebacker would have similar effect? I was thinking McGinest or Vrabel.

I wouldn't prioritize O-line because these guys need months to gel; Mankins/Light could do wonders though

Add one guy for a Super Bowl?

Greatest clutch kicker of all time wouldn’t hurt...

Adam Vinatieri.

My heart wants to say take Miss and get him a Ring. An additional weapon for Brady isn’t our biggest need though.

Our biggest issue is our run defence so that is where I feel I have to spend my one choice. Seymore, Wilfork or Washington would improve our DL no doubt about it. I personally believe Roberts is the weakest player of our front 7 and therefore a stud MLB seems the best choice. Bruschi, Mayo, Junior or 2012 Brandon Spikes are the options here. Spikes was an animal in 2012 he was all over. Mayo was immense he always seemed to be making the play or right at the spot, a true sideline to sideline LB. 2003/4 Bruschi was a joy to behold the man could lead the team emotionally and physically, a true captain and hell of a player. In the biggest moments he found a way to get it done. I love Junior but we didn’t get him in his prime and emotionally I would rather get Moss a ring.

With all of the above considered I would take Tedy have him lead the team maybe catch a 1 yard TD from TE.

Give me another shut down corner opposite Gilmore. I'll take Ty law

Gimme Moss.

Even if they double him, he'd make some play + his presence would open so much space for Jules and/or Gronk.

Either Ted Washington or Wilfork.

This may not be THE guy, but since all the best choices have been represented already, I’ll go a bit different: 03/04 Deion Branch. He and Brady shared a brain, and having him to work outside the numbers while Edelman and Gronk tear up the middle of the field would give Brady three guaranteed safe options. I don’t think we’d get stopped on 3rd down with those three.

Not as explosive as Moss, but efficient as hell.

Vrabel. He'd likely have a sack, a couple QB pressures, and one TD.
Another good two for one pick.
Also: Seymour could also be another goal line FB.

I agree with the OP... Either Moss or Wilfork. But the other answers are just as good. Lot of great players to choose from.

Wow. Nobody went for Mike Haynes.
Considered by many to be the best cb all time. No worse than top 3. Gilmore and Haynes? Hands down the best cb duo all time.
Oth, secondary is already a strength, just like ol, which justifies not taking Hannah.
Dl weakest unit. So guess it's gotta be Sey or Big Vince.
