The cheater label is REAL dude, and we need to combat that at every turn, because it is no longer legend, it is "fact". I've made long form video essays on this topic, yet even with my reach in my fanbase, people still accept it as fact.

You're correct. Virtually every other team has a significant percentage of its fanbase which believes that the Patriots are serial, habitual cheaters.

It's much easier when you live in New England to have to deal with people who make these comments...walk 4 feet and you'll find someone who agrees with you.

When you live on the outside...especially in "hostile" environments, it's impossible to escape the shade and negativity people throw our way.

Impossible is the correct word, no doubt.
When you’re in enemy territory like we are, there’s not even anything you can really do to try and fight it. It would be a total waste of time, unless you’re into getting yourself frustrated for no apparent reason. That ship has sailed.

I do point out the fact that since the ball deflation accusations, we’ve been to the SB in 4/5 years, so that kind of speaks for itself, but I don’t respond to anything on social media or in conversation.

How ridiculous of a forum is it, when the mods are cursing other people out, users are quoting users telling other users to kill or hurt themselves and the mods aren't banning folks for horrific language? Seriously, that's the kind of stuff that would have Ashley Thanos snap your ass without a second thought, and it's essentially encouraged against someone who has been posting there since 2003. WTF

Your post oddly reads as if I were talking directly to you... I was simply referring to what the person I quoted stated, which was essentially 'only a few team fanbases believe the Pats are actual cheaters'. My response was that this isn't true, and the label is something that is really believed by non-Pats fans. It's palpable here in my city and state. You see it on neutral forums. You see it on opposing team's forums. I've been in fights over this. It's a dangerous accusation, and simply ignoring it does nothing because those of us that aren't in New England have to deal with this constantly, especially if we want to wear our colors.

My Vette got egged last year simply because it has a Patriot license plate and Flying Elvis emblem on the back (I know because I saw it happen while some D-bag screamed F--- The Patriots). This frightened the hell out of my wife.

All I am saying is that we need to combat this because it's not going away and it's only getting worse, as more and more previously silent fanbases (like the Eagles and Chiefs) are awakening and "getting in on the fun".

Oh, I'm not a poster on that forum, as I don't see the utility in it. I usually lurk other forums of teams we play in order to get a feel for how they react to certain calls or events in the game. I like having more than one side of a story, so to speak.

This particular one left a bad taste in my mouth though. I've never seen Patriot forums say or do the some things I see on these boards. I enjoy the poster 'Amnirox' on that site, and 'A Defiant Goose' over on Orange Mane, as they're (relatively speaking) respected on those boards and are Patriots fans that deal with incessant belittling on those forums. I have a good deal of respect for them.

Doesn't matter really.

"They", especially Rams fans, already have it cemented in their heads that we taped their practices. I have one here in the office who swore up and down that spygate was directed at the Rams. I told him that was the Jets. He argued back and forth with me, googled it and STF up.
