This was the the effective way to get the rule changed. BB could have talked until he was blue in the face and it wouldn't have made 10% of the impact of actually using this in a game - even in a game where it was totally irrelevant. He's a smart coach.

The consensus on this forum in 2004 was that Tom Brady was the best QB in the NFL, better than Peyton Manning. I was one of the few holdouts until the middle of the 2004 season. I guess every QB in the NFL was a game manager by your definition.
