PATRIOTS NEWS Gronk elected to Pats Hall of Fame

I'm not saying that they're on the level to be number 4, but I really enjoyed Graham and Bennett when they played here as TEs.

Bill in the background with the guitar and mustache is awesome.

PATRIOTS NEWS Patriots pick up Gonzo’s 5th year option

I think the talk was around $33m per year. That's a lot to expend on a CB but in a passing league, having someone who can take out a WR1 is absolutely necessary. And other than Milton, who on the defense is someone opposing teams have to account for?

What is our plan for ILB?

Maybe. I'd certainly hope so. But they knew pickings were slim in the draft and wanted to come away with OT, EDGE and TE, so they probably should have been aware of the need for ILB. But I think maybe they like who they have as backup more than we do.

What is our plan for ILB?

If we wanted him, I think we would have already signed him.

What is our plan for ILB?

That's a great point. I suspect Vrabel and co. would rather force one of the backups into the role if something happened to Spillane or Ellis and see what they have.

    Finally: 5 NFL OT's

Right. For me, tt certainly doesn't inspire a whole lot of confidence in Bryant.

    Finally: 5 NFL OT's

Yeah. I'm with you. Let's see who the best offensive line personnel are and what makes the most sense where they line up. The good thing is I think they bought some time to get it figured out rather than having to have Lomu start somewhere at the start of the season. It's really 2027 where...

    Finally: 5 NFL OT's

That makes sense. You never really know if offensive linemen can switch sides until they do it. The good thing with Campbell and Moses, is we already have starters and the coaches can see what we have with Lumo. Wouldn't surprise me if they see if he can play guard in an emergency, too.

DRAFT Welcome to New England - Texas A&M OT Dametrious Crownover (6th round, #196)

Wolf mentioned that they thought Lumo could play G. So he may be an IOL backup, too.

    Finally: 5 NFL OT's

Just because I'm curious, why do you think Lumo can't play RT?
  12. mike_usagisan

    Finally: 5 NFL OT's

I think they want to see what Lumo is capable of. If he can play RT, that solves an issue. If he can only play LT, that creates a situation where we have to move things around.

    Finally: 5 NFL OT's

I think it's too soon to pencil Crownover in at RT for 2027. Hell, it might be too soon to pencil him in on the roster for 2026. I expect them to plan for Lomu at RT and then see what they have in 2027 when Moses is probably moving on. If Crownover or Bryant or whoever has proven themselves to...

Ok…go on record with your draft grade.

I feel like Joe Milton was a gamble on greatness and it was a disaster. I'll take a QB known for his accuracy and smarts as a QB3 who will probably never see action in a real game.
