Some Monday Thoughts On Round One, After seeing Jeremiah's Top 50

For what it's worth, I listened to Todd McShay's podcast yesterday, and he said that after making some phone calls, he feels like he's underestimated the number of teams in the late teens and 20s that are interested in the tackles. Without saying it specifically, he made it sound like there's a...

    DRAFT Draft Rumours 2026

Without actually saying it, Todd McShay's podcast today makes it seem like there's a really good chance that all seven OTs are off the board before pick #31.

    Patriots 2025 UDFA list

If Chism flashes in camp, I kinda wonder if the Patriots might move on from Pop. I think I heard Mike Giardi say it this morning on the radio - McDaniels wants his slot guys to block, and that's something Douglas just isn't built for.

    2025 WR Depth Chart

I wouldn't be so quick to write off Polk and Baker. I want to see what they look like playing in a real offensive system with real coaching

DRAFT Welcome to New England, LSU OT Will Campbell

Text from my buddy last night: "If he sticks at tackle, I'm going to call him OT-Rex."

Predict Patriots draft decision at 4.

I think it'll be Will Campbell at #4, and I'm OK with it. I won't be weeping tears of joy when he's picked, and I'd be lying if I said he didn't make me a little nervous, but I think he's got a reasonably good chance to be the Patriots' solution at LT for the next decade. And if he can't...

2025 Draft Rumours (ie The Pinch Of Salt Thread)

Diana Russini reports this morning that in addition to the Browns and Giants fielding calls at #2 and #3, the Patriots are also listening to offers at #4, but... most of the calls appear to be from teams looking to move up if Hunter or Carter are somehow available. She also reports that the...

The Official Will Campbell Camp Thread

Unless they think a lot more of Caeden Wallace than most of us, I'd be very open to using two of their first four picks on tackles.

Schefter: Kayshon Boutte "deemed expendable" during draft weekend

From Bert Breer. And I should point out that this was published earlier this morning, before I saw the report from Schefter. So, this would be two national reporters independently putting it out there that the Patriots might deal Boutte...

2025 Draft Rumours (ie The Pinch Of Salt Thread)

Good stuff from Breer this morning: * Like a lot of teams, the Patriots certainly would entertain a trade down, but finding a partner won’t be easy. If they get stuck at No. 4, in that circumstance, my sense is they’ll invest in protecting their young quarterback and LSU’s Will Campbell will...

The case for Jeanty at 4, Go for the homerun!! LFG

Given their options, I think Will Campbell is a reasonable pick at #4. No, he doesn't check as many boxes as your typical 4th overall selection, but the players that do check all the boxes are in incredibly short supply in this class. If the Patriots take Campbell, and he can play LT at a...

The case for Jeanty at 4, Go for the homerun!! LFG

Rashawn Slater is 6'4 with 33" arms and an 80" wingspan, and he might be the best LT in all of football. My point is if they draft Will Campbell, and he's good enough where they can stop worrying about a gaping hole LT for the next decade, then that's worth the #4 pick in the draft.
