Re: Official Cut Players We Want To Sign Post

Bring back Hank!!!!!!!!!!!!
Seriously, he would our 4th CB (with Wilhite as our developmental 5th). I'd rather have him than Lewis Sanders or Spann or Ventrone as one of our defensive backs.

Re: Official Cut Players We Want To Sign Post

There was a lot of interest in Dan Bazuin (OLB) a few years ago around draft time; he was cut from the Bears because of injury issues, but maybe he could contribute for us.

Re: Official Cut Players We Want To Sign Post

is it too late to bring a new player to our team before regular season starts?

training camp is over. Colvin is a good choice if he is healthy.

Re: Official Cut Players We Want To Sign Post

Bring in all the 300+ OL's who have 2 working legs for a tryout.

I'd want them to have working arms/hands as well!

I don't want them to just fall on them!

Re: Official Cut Players We Want To Sign Post

Colvin could have come back in the multi-month window from the time he was cut and the time he signed with the Texans. Why would the Pats decide to pick him up now? That doesn't make any sense. Colvin isn't coming back, end of subject.

I suspect that if he was offered back then, it was at a much lower salary offer than he got from the Texans.

Now that he is free, and so close to the season, he probably would be happy for a low-$$$ deal with anyone at all, but particularly any team having a defensive scheme he is familiar with.

edit:Just to be clear, for those about to call me a nimrod or a brain wizard, I'm not saying the Patriots SHOULD sign him. I like the youth movement and speed to apply to special teams. I am just offering the reason why Colvin's price has gone WAY down. He's probably not healthy anyway, and the Patriots probably aren't interested if he were, and they probably shouldn't be.

he was cut by the texans because he couldnt play special teams, so we sign a reserve player who cant play special teams, sorry all you brain wizards, it aint happening

Re: Official Cut Players We Want To Sign Post

How many nimrods in here at Patsfans don't understand it was the injury that kept Colvin from playing here this year, not the money and very likely the injury was a reason the Texans decided he was not worth the risk knowing it surely could be a high risk to reoccur and now all of a sudden he will be a force again and the injury has completely gone? - Duh

Colvin will either be signed by a team desperate for backup LB help or he will retire- Just STOP with this bring him back sh!t!

Sam Madison.

Re: Official Cut Players We Want To Sign Post

Sam Maddison or Mcquarders would add a nice vet presence...

Re: Official Cut Players We Want To Sign Post

I don't get the Eagles cutting Bam. Besides DeSean and a hurt Kevin Curtis, they don't have crap for recievers. How could Bam not make it?

And I am also all for bringing Hank back.

There is enough vet presence with people like Vrabes, Tedy, Rodney, Lynch etc.

We need ballplayers. ESPECIALLY at Cornerback. Madison has still got it (imo) and would be a good addition.

I ment to say vet pressence at the CB position, Bryan scares me a bit

According to PFT, Jesse Chatman's agent is denying that he was released.

Have you been asleep for the past two years? Hank Baskett is a damn good possession receiver for them. Reggie Brown isn't a slouch and Jason Avant is better than Bam.

I can very easily see how Bam didn't make it.

Re: Official cut players we want to sign post

Browns cuts-

The guy most notably on the bubble, receiver Travis Wilson, didn’t make it.

Joining him on the outside looking in were tight end Brad Cieslak, defensive back A.J. Davis, receiver Efrem Hill, tight end Kolomona Kapanui, defensive back Travis Key, offensive lineman James Lee, receiver Lance Leggett, linebacker David McMillan, defensive back Brandon Mitchell, linebacker Chase Ortiz, offensive lineman Jonathan Palmer, defensive back Jereme Perry, defensive lienman Melila Purcell, kicker Jason Reda, receiver Steve Sanders, and linebacker Shantee Orr.

The Browns also waived-injured the following players: offensive lineman Derrick Morse, offensive lineman Marvin Philip, defensive lineman Chase Pittman, and running back Travis Thomas.

Sorry, Baskett slipped my mind. I think of him as a second TE.

But Reggie Brown? Come on. He's like a quiet Freddie Mitchell.

Not gonna happen.

Breaking from the pattern of carrying three quarterbacks, the Giants have decided to carry two into the regular season. New York released quarterbacks Anthony Wright and Andre Woodson, leaving Eli Manning and David Carr as the only two quarterbacks on the Giants’ roster.

Just as notable, defensive backs Sam Madison and R.W. McQuarters made the final roster, as did wide receiver Sinorice Moss, who needs to elevate his game to continue to hold on to his spot.

Nfl.com. Plus Rudi Johnson let go by the Bungles.
