Toronto Argonauts trade quarterback Bishop to Roughriders for conditional pick

TORONTO — The Toronto Argonauts granted veteran Michael Bishop's wish Saturday.

The Argos traded the backup quarterback to the Saskatchewan Roughriders for a conditional draft pick. A CFL source requesting anonymity said Bishop, unhappy with his lack of playing time behind starter Kerry Joseph, demanded that Toronto deal him.

He was a second string qb that saw very limited action during garbage time...if memory serves me correct 2 completions on 10 attempts or something meaningless like that.

He actually played during some non-garbage time, as a third down experiment. He was far more mobile than Bledsoe (though then again, so am I), and so I guess they figured he could run on third and middle distance if need be.

I don't think it worked very often.

He had a few pre-season games were he tore it up, Didn't he also have a halftime hail mary Td pass in a regular sesaon game? Can't remember the receiver(tony simmons?) that caught it,or the team. Also a horrible hailmary throw that seem to go like 25 yards vs miami(?) after everybody had already gone to the dressing room/showers
That's a little short breakdown for the very few ppl that dont know his pats career.

i have no idea how successful his canadian career went though.
