Interesting snippet from one of those links:

During the Ravens' coaching search in January, they spoke to Belichick about Harbaugh. Although they only know each other through other coaches, Belichick endorsed hiring a special teams coach because that position requires interacting with the entire team

Now why would the Ravens speak to Belichick about Harbaugh? Maybe team personnel are free to offer opinions to other teams if asked? Just thought this was out of the ordinary.

BB helped Ozzie Newsome get his start in the front office. BB is also on record saying Special Team's coaches should be considered for Head Coaching jobs because they get to work with just about every individual on the roster.
