Specter again calls for Spygate investigation

By JOSEPH WHITE
Associated Press Sports
updated 1 hour, 21 minutes ago

WASHINGTON (AP) - Sen. Arlen Specter reiterated his call for the NFL to initiate an independent investigation into Spygate.

The Pennsylvania Republican entered a statement Thursday into the Congressional Record concerning the New England Patriots' videotaping scandal.

The statement repeats many of the points Specter made in at a news conference May 14, including a push for an investigation similar to the high-profile Mitchell Report that examined performance enhancing drugs in baseball.

...

Wow. This guy is a piece of work.

Now see if the Patriots just attempted to kill someone like Marshawn Lynch did there'd be no threat of any investigation from the US Senate.

Let this be a lesson to everyone.

After all, murder isn't as big of a deal as breaking an obscure rule that no one, including Specter, knew anything about a year ago.

Keep it up, old man. You're making yourself look like a loon.

Keep it up, old man. You're making yourself look like a loon.

Especially with the steroid thing that just happened.

I daresay, I think Spygate is going to be over due to that.

The timing of this is not a coincidence by any stretch. Steely McBeam is in the battle of his life against Pat Patriot. The Sen. will do anything to remind the world of the evil Patriot ways to give McBeam the edge he needs to be victorious. Only you can stop Sen. Comcast and his evil plans.

Go to http://www.sportsline.com/spin/story/10852261 and vote for Pat Patriot.

You guys don't get it... those are just state and federal laws that are being broken.

Specter's a United States Senator - near as I can tell from Specter's interest and involvement in these issues, the Senate has little or no interest in laws or running the government.

But when an obscure rule in the football manual is misinterpreted, and then outright broken once the NFL clarifies it in a memo? That's when the US Senate takes notice and calls for an investigation.

Specter gets it - it's just the rest of us that have our priorities messed up.

We're NOT supposed to wish him dead, right?

Yeah, I unstickied that thread today since Spygate was supposed to be over. Apparently Specter heard me.

Let the threats begin!

I hope someone smashes his mailbox to smitherines.

And i hope that mailbox contained very important financial documents and bills.

Then i hope the next 30 gallons of milk he buys are spoiled.

Paper cuts are still okay.

Can we speculate on locations of said cuts? :rocker:

Seriously is he just trying to cover for the fact an ex Steeler probably killed that dude today? (No offense against the Steelers, for some reason I respect them. )

Your posts always go down in my log of funny things people said today.

I hope that he gets a flat tire on the way to the airport, gets all sweaty and dirty changing the tire, rushes to the airport like a madman but can't find a parking space, the finally finds a parking space, runs to the check in counter... only to find out that his flight is cancelled and he's been re-routed through Akron on a flight in four hours.

Then he gets upset and poops himself.

Can we wish for paper cuts over every square inch of his body?

And then for him to be thrown into a pool of lemon juice?

let him try to get support. Although Espn Im sure will back him

No one cares about this any longer. Even fans of other teams are sick and tired of reading and hearing about this overcovered, overanalyzed and overblown issue.

Even Comcast must be embarassed with Specter's comment, given the timing of the news of the steroid witness/dealer's death in Texas.

I hope, after a meal of slightly gamey Peking duck, he keels over and utters as his last words..."Damn you, Patjew!!! I knew you weren't from Whinesteins Deli!..."
