Got assigned to Pawtucket and in the same week asked for his release. Although he had a few good games, there were too many times he screwed up. See ya!!!

I liked Tavarez ... he is what he is. He had a good run last year as a starter and he ate it all up. The guy does not have reliever in him. In the old days he would have made a great long man but that position really does not exist anymore.

Me too. ...

I also like Tavarez, I just don't get why a lot of people got on his back so much. The Red Sox most times used him in a role that is hard to do good in.

Got picked up by Brewers and pitched today.

He pitched an inning of relief and struck out one with no hits, and that setup the Brew crew coming back and winning in the ninth.

Good riddance. His occasional one or two decent efforts was opposed by his five or six horrible ones.

The youth movement with the Sox pitchers is the right way to go, and we are seeing the results...with many good years ahead.
