the Pats have a much greater need at ILB, then they do at OLB...

so why begin a conversion project of a college DE or otherwise NFL DE to an OLB???

we need an ILB, not spend time, effort and money on an OLB...

so my question is, why do DE's NOT convert to ILB???

Bruschi......

bru is more of an exception.

this draft has good ILB what we need a tall one who can put some mass. reach near 250 lb and we are good.

Just pointing it out. I am not recommending that we draft a DE to play ILB. THis is a pretty silly idea. That was not the plan for Bruschi either.

Honestly, you don't want your ILB's to be too tall. 6'2' to 6'3" is about what you want.

There are some good 6'2" 240lbs-250lbs ILB prospects in this draft class:
Keith Rivers 6'2" 241lbs
Jon Goff 6'2" 245lbs
Phillips Wheeler 6'2" 248lbs
Jeremy Leman 6'1-3/4" 245lbs

I don't see many of this years DE's as good ILB conversions, but a number of them should have very good OLB conversions.
