he's versatile, and is one of those guys b.b. likes to have around for insurance. with that said, i hope we trade him to the jets
in other words, im not a big fan of his

actually, i dont hate him, i like his versatility. however, i would like to see our depth on the o-line improve. and i know what ya mean about law. i want him back, but i want him to apologize for being an idiot, before he's allowed to wear a pats jersey again. i wonder if he's made enough money yet, to "feed his family" ?

He's a gameday backup center, guard and even plays blocking TE. He's going nowhere.

I have more doubts about Kazur. It seems that at least once, in every game, he was bested by an onrushing DE and Brady wound up on the ground as a result.

He's a backup-calibre interior lineman, nothing more.

I wish that the FO had re-signed Grey Ruegamer after the '02 season. He did a great job for the jints late in the season and in the POs, when injuries befell their C and Gs.

I also would have kept Ross Tucker after the '05 season, instead of trading him to Cleveland for nothing. Who knows, maybe he would have stayed healthy.

However, I also wished that the FO had drafted C Greg Eslinger with their first 6th-round pick (Jeremy Mincey) of the '06 draft. Dan Koppen had not yet signed his extension, and I thought that Eslinger would have made for an excellent insurance policy. He's surprisingly bounced around the league since then, so he probably wouldn't have worked here, either.

If the FO were looking for an OLman with their 5th-round pick in last year's draft, then they should have looked at C/G Doug Datish or OT Adam Koets, instead of UDFA-calibre Oldenburg.

Keep an eye out for Dan Connolly this year. He has size, and experience at all 5 positions.

IMO or back up oline is as good as any. We have Starting caliber players in Hochstein and Ocallahan.

And seeing as people want to improve the starters there could wind up being another starting quality player in a role as a back up next year.

Right. When he has to play, Hochstein is usually competent, rarely exceptional. That's the classic good backup.

If we get rid of Yates then we lose a player for the inactive list...

But he's a backup...if we get a player that is better we have improved...and if we get a player better than RH..then he will be inactive and Yates will be gone....

I would rather have a player like that in place of Yates...than of Hochstein..if he's that good then maybe he would have a shot at a starting job..Neal may be on PUP to start next year...so??
