One thing that will cheer Pats fans up (eventually) is that the Giants aren't doing squat next year. I believe their newfound chemistry was solely due to losing the prima donna Shockey. The Pats will be in the hunt next year and the Giants will have their 6 months to enjoy this one, that's about it.

I don't know much about the Giants FO or how they operate, but Boss seemed to be a nice fill while Shockey was out. If what you say is true, will they trade Shockey for a pick, save some $ on their cap, and go with a younger Boss while eliminating Shockey's distractions?
