Whatever it takes to get women more involved in football. Most of the football parties I go to are something like 50% women now if not more. The more it becomes OK for women to like football the less men will have to deal with getting *****ed at for watching it.
Okay, I wear tons of pink Pats stuff and I am far from a band wagon fan. I also wear a lot of regular Pats stuff. Fact is, the pink stuff is made for women. It fits better than the mens stuff. I guess I understand the whole pink hat thing, but please don't paint with such a broad brush. I probably have more Pats clothing than a lot of men, I just happen to love pink. I love being a girl, doesn't make me less of a fan.
I'm sitting here in my signed Bruschi jersey and flying Elvis earrings ready to head off to Patriots day at work. But I own some of the pink stuff - mostly gifts.
Bottom line, I think it's a way for the NFL to sell more stuff. When I first became a fan there wasn't gear for women. Hell, when you went to the NFL site in the early days online there was a section for women - and it had recipes
I don't think any more women are bandwagoners than men. And while I'm not a huge fan of pink for Pats gear, I'm with Tommysgirl about the fact that the stuff fits better.
