At the risk of getting banned for speaking anything other than words of Patriot admiration on a Patriots board, please feel free to comment on the most recent post on PFT.com regarding Seymore and his head butt of a SD coach.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zVCFpGJO02Y

The headbutt in question comes at 2:48 in the clip.

Already saw it. Anyone who thinks that's a headbutt has a screw loose. My instructors at Lackland hit me harder than that with their campaign hat when they jawed at me.

I tend to agree that the term "headbutt" is not appropriate; however, Seymore's action doesn't exactly seem appropriate either. I don't see any intent to harm or injure the coach in question. I guess I just don't see the point of screaming in the face of a coach and pushing my facemask into his face. Story is probably over-blown, but it doesn't look very good either.

I didnt see any head butt. I saw what looked to me, 2 football players getting into a "discussion" and then the coach pulling his guy away. Patriot player then spoke to the coach.

Who knows.. Perhaps the Charger player began it and the the Pats player spoke to the coach... something along the lines of "Reel your guy in"

Patriots do not talk smack before the game. They wait until they are ON the field... that is one reason that I enjoy watching them play. No one knows what was said but the ones involved. No use speculating....

Flip it around. What is a coach doing jawing with a player on the opposing team? It really depends where you're standing, doesn't it?

I agree no one knows what was said and there are 2 sides to everything. That said, I don't think its speculative to say either some Patriots talk smack before the game or Seymore was too dumb not to take the bait before this particular game.

A fair point.
It also makes me thing of this. I have to believe Seymore is in the Bolts domain here. I tend to doubt a coach would go onto the Pats side of the field.

HAHAHA... Wow, so you've got a field pass and know everyting that goes on prior to kickoff? Lucky duck you ahhhhhh!

This situation/discussion... if you can call it that... is pointless. What goes on on the field should stay there. And yes, that means Hardwick keeping his trap shut.

Honestly, who really gives a shyte about this kind of stuff? If you do, then you need to look in the mirror and do some serious evaluating.

Well, they were ON the field by then.... There was definitely something going on before the game began and kept going on during it.

Perhaps after the game, we will hear what it was.....

I had assumed that people who post on the forums actually read what is read before posting stuff like this. I did say that they wait until they get ON the field.... lmao. In other words, I have never been able to go to a game. I no longer live in MA *grumbles*

I have yet to see them say ANYTHING to the media before the game other then praise for the team. Even after the game, the media ONLY get praise from them. THIS is what I meant by my comment....

This would never have come out had it been left that way by Hardwick.

I cannot comment as the New England PAtriots do NOT have a player on the roster by the name of "Seymore." Perhaps you are thinking of another player on another team.:blahblah:

Why did I spell it wrong? Because it's not important that I get ot right.

Or, you are a moron

Nothing to see here folks move along. There is a SD player right there. Had there been any "real" contact, you can bet you sweet ass there would have been a HUGE scrum right there as the player would have absolutly protected his "unprotected" coach in that situation 100% of the time. That fact that nothing did, supports that this was nothing more then pre-game jawwing that went no-where and was not really important in the scheme of things.

I guess my only comments would be that I've come to the realization that pft is the football equivalent of the enquirer, and the people who read this **** are gossipy old ladies who want to get the latest scoop on britney --- not football fans.

honestly, to see a headbutt there you'd either have to be a ******* idiot, or just someone trying to stir **** up for attention.

Yes it is IMPORTANT that you get it right. How would you like it if I referred to the Steelers QB as Ratlisberger? Seeing as you have nearly 500 posts on a PAtriots board it would seem you would take the time to spell the player's names correctly. Idiot.:violent:
