2003 NFL Draft
Defensive Ends taken after Ty Warren.....

#14 Overall - Michael Haynes (Not in the NFL right now)

#15 Overall - Jerome McDougle (Not lived up to expectations. Injured all of 2007)

#18 Overall - Calvin Pace (Did not play well his first 4 seasons. Actually had a good season in 2007 playing @ OLB.

#32 Overall - Tyler Brayton (Really hasn't done nothing for the Raiders.)

Warren without doubt has been the best player out of all of them.

EDIT: I noticed Osi Umenyiora was a second round pick in that draft...intresting

Warren has also outperformed Jonathan Sullivan, Dewayne Robertson, and Jimmy Kennedy who were picked ahead of him. Warren was the second best d-linemen in that draft after Kevin Williams. One of the best examples of the Patriots great drafting in the Belichick era.

McDougle was shot (seriously), so I think he gets an incomplete grade.

But otherwise, your point is very well made.

Yeah but Ty Warren doesn't like to poop on women (somewhat NSFW).

only guy that can compete on these lists is Osi and Kevin Williams. Williams is a 4-3 DT ..like Warren would've been and Osi is a 4-3 DE..fast but small

The comparison is more to tackles. But yes -- Warren was a great pick no matter how you slice it.

Like Merriweather, Watson and a few others Ty Warren was beat up around here that 1st year ... he proved them all wrong.

Johnathan Sullivan was so bad that the Saints traded him for Bethel Johnson
