It's 1999...who wouldve thought that in 8 short years

- Drew Bledsoe would not be our starting qb... let alone not our starting qb for the past 7 years... let alone because his job now belongs to somebody we will draft in the 6th round.

- Bill Belicek, a failure as HC with cleveland, would replace pete carroll the next year and still be the coach

- Terry Glenn, our most talented offensive threat, will be traded for a measely 3rd (4th?) rounder after making it clear he wants no part of this team

- Ty Law and Lawyer Milloy our all-pro DB's will be cut within the next 5 years. Damien Woody our all-pro C is not resigned when his current contract runs out.

- Knowing these things, the patriots will be the class and envy of the nfl throughout the next decade. winning 3 rings, 2 wins from our 4th as well as becoming the first team ever to go 19-0.

- Rodney Harrison and RANDY MOSS will be in patriot uniforms. Corey Dillon retired as and had his best year as a patriot.

- Slot reciever and punt returner Troy Brown is a folk hero. Adam Vinatieri is looked at as the clutchest kicker in nfl history

- Close wins will bring about outrage on these message boards about how much we 'suck'

As we get ready for 2 games that could propel us into a new level of NFL excellence, just take a moment realize how much of an unpredictable dream world we are living in right now as pats fans. Damn we are lucky

Amazing, and I think about things like that all the time. I remember the days, way back when, my friends and I would decide on the morning of the game if we wanted to go. We would then buy tickets at the door. Because way back then, tickets were always available at the stadium.

And that Bledsoe's replacement, the skinny 6th rounder, would be in serious discussions as one of the greatest to ever play the game.

We bought season tickets when Parcells came in in 1993. We were ready to give them up in 2001, but decided to give it one more year. Thank goodness we did!!
