Norv turner disappointed with Igor's comments

Here we go
Well, that didn't take long. The “Boston Sports Blog” on Boston.com yesterday posted an item rehashing several quotes from the Chargers talking about the Patriots, including those from Tomlinson after Spygate (“If you're not cheating, you're not trying”), and Shaun Phillips after last year's playoff game between the two teams (“Shaun Phillips will have a grudge against them the rest of his career”).

Also included was Igor Olshansky's quote from Sunday in Indianapolis where he said the Patriots must be “scratching their heads saying, 'Man, we better get ready.' ”

But evidently that wasn't all Olshansky said. The Boston blog posted a clip from YouTube.com in which KFMB Channel 8 asked Olshansky about New England.

“Who? New England?” Olshansky said. “Seriously, they're more worried than we are, I promise you. Believe me, they know what's up.”

Coach Norv Turner said he was “disappointed” in Olshansky's comments and added, “It's been addressed.”

Asked if he doesn't want to see his team making outrageous comments, Turner laughed and said, “You got that right.”

Chargers players were off yesterday and today, so Olshansky was unavailable for comment.

Uh-Oh somebody got a spanking. Seriously, after LaClassian got so thoroughly embarassed after running his mouth week 2, you'd think they'd learn. To his credit, the cry baby has been praising them, though it looked like it was killing him. I would pay money to have all the guys dance again this Sunday.

What puzzles me is Norv giving them two days off. Don't they have to "get ready" themselves? So they've got three days to prepare, one day of travel. This is clearly an advantage for the Pats. If BB gave players Sunday and Monday off, they still get in five days of prep for the Chargers.

What puzzles me is Norv giving them two days off. Don't they have to "get ready" themselves? So they've got three days to prepare, one day of travel. This is clearly an advantage for the Pats. If BB gave players Sunday and Monday off, they still get in five days of prep for the Chargers.

Figure that they just got home Monday, what good would practice do with exhausted players? I think that Tuesday was negotiated in the CBA. Just their bad luck that they have back-to-back cross-country flights. Proves the point that it is better to win every game possible and play at home.

Did you see how physical the game was Sunday? They beat each other up. Right now, I suspect rest is more important as the Coaches game plan.

Why are patriots fans so worked up over the few comments Igor made. .. There was nothing serious about his comments, he was more or less saying, " the patriots need to take us seriously ", that's all. It was his way of saying the patriots should not look at the Chargers as the same team they played in week 2. As for all of the other hoopla about the playoff game, that is water under the bridge. The patriots players over celebrated a little due to Merriman's comments, and in turn L.T and the Chargers players overreacted about it. They let their emotions get the best of them. And I for one can see why, the patriots came back late in the game to take the win away from San Diego. It was a heartbreaker, for fans and players alike.

Make no mistake, Igor's comments will be taken differently than you explain, which is explains the spanking from Norv, he is aware. But you also can't ever mistake the fact that the little crying whiner has made enough comments in the past year that this team will never, ever, forget and they will continue to embarass him.

I kind of think that Norv's stating that he is not happy with Igor's comments is kind of of like Norv saying Igor your wrong in turn Norv is saying that his team is not better than NE.....

I know he his really just saying Igor Shut up don't give them anything extra.
