So Malachi Toney finished with 10-182-2 TDs.

Wait! Did I say finished? I meant finished the first half.

Some more Miami thoughts.

1. There was a play yesterday where, after being gashed so much by Toney last night, they double covered him with two safeties. End result? Cooper Barkate was left one on one with a corner and caught a TD pass. Mensah and the Miami offense looked unstoppable last night.

2. Except for..the OL. They weren't great but there's a lot of new bodies and position switching so it may just be a case of them gaining chemistry over the next few games.

3. Mark Fletcher struggled a bit because of it but I still think he's an ideal Vrabel back. Supremely competitive, runs violently and he had an excellent block in pass pro and another run block on a Toney reception. Plays violently.

4. I was a little underwhelmed by the Miami defense. They didn't have that dominating aspect they had under Bain/Mesidor/Scott. The DL all flashed individually though and Scott's get-off is great. Lightfoot looked better than Damon Wilson, but Armand Blount might have been the best of the three edge rushers on the night.

5. OJ Frederique left the game with a shoulder injury. I hope it's not too serious.

Ha. It was never close, but in the first half, the Stanford QB was doing good stuff, but drops and penalties always stalled any momentum. They were moving the ball fairly comfortably against the Miami defense but always hurt themselves.

Looking forward to Miami-ND and a possible Malachi Toney - Leonard Moore matchup. When last nights announcers were struggling for a Toney comp one blurted our Allen Iverson. I thought that was funny but spot on.

Did you see Yhonzae Pierre had an INT return for a TD? It wasn't much, the ball was thrown straight to him but a good way to start.

Ohio State are rushing for 2.3 yds per carry and Sayin has been sacked twice in the first half. Against Ball State! This OL may be a problem for them.
