Worth a call for sure. I wouldn’t expect much, though. I don’t see him coming here.

Gonzo (probably), Drake, AJ (possibly), and you could name a few other players we will probably want to retain at high cost in the next couple of years. We can't afford the guy, and we have already wasted this this year's mad money anyway on the fans' need for Shiny Objects: AJ Brown. Too bad. Vea is a player we can actually use and who has a substantial number of playing years left. Mistakes have consequences. I don't suppose Tampa Bay would be interested in trading him for a WR with a bum knee.

The Bucs will have to take nothing and simply not want to pay him… late round swap.

Vea will have to want to win another ring and play for less than he can probably get on the open market… both seem unlikely.

Check on Christian Wilkins rehab and see where he’s at. He won’t be able to strong arm a team for a lot of money, he has been out of the league for a full season.

To be fair, the shiny object can make everyone else better, too. Less 8 in the box for RBs, easier coverage assignments for the other WRs, etc.
