Chris Simms: Still not a top five species

John Elway ahead of Joe Montana is funny stuff.

Let me tell you, Elway was such an inaccurate passer. He used to drive the ball into the turf and he'd make you wonder if all the roids had caused his arm to lose flex which made him so inaccruate.

I don’t get it with him. Look at any sport. Elway is the only guy who is in the average fans top 10 in any sport that you can’t point to SOME stat that makes you say “yeah I get that”

his era adjusted numbers and numbers adjusted to the league average quarterback are terrible compared to other all time greats. he has 5 SB appearances but 3 of those came in an atrocious AFC conference and the last 2 were more about Davis and that OL

it seems with Elway, it’s always all about his physical talent and Reeves screwing him over

This really looks like a list from a guy who can't separate the ability to sling it vs being a great quarterback in the NFL.

Ironically alot of posters here side with Simms now
that's some passive aggressive ******** right there

brady being a ****tard has nothing to do with his ability on the field.

Especially since Simms confessed that he watched the most film than anyone else in the history of the NFL.

I could be misremembering, but even Brady said he wasn't the most naturally talented quarterback. But what he did with his talents blew away even the quarterbacks with more natural talent.

If smarts and the decision making played no part in QB play, Simms list might make more sense… but that’s not the case.

Simms is the human equivalent of a participation trophy. Lists are dumb, lists made by dummies and agenda driven idiots are the worst.

Doesn't matter what Brady said, Simms was in Foxborough for a year and still couldn't see it. Guy suffered too many concussions plus he's he's an *******.

When Brady first came here he appeared to be like Bobby Orr, great on and off the field. That wasn't really the case as we've found out.

The question is what happened to change him, or was he hiding that side of himself in the beginning?

Dude is ultra competitive... It's part of what made him a great player and part of what has made him unlikeable after his playing days have passed on by

It's designed to elicit clicks and debate. No one would blink an eye if he ordered them Brady, Manning, and Montana.

His ability to read what defenses were doing was one of his best traits, but yeah, his competition level was off the charts.
He also had a pretty big brain.
I don't normally listen to announcers but I recently heard that he's gotten better there.
It's just too bad that the greatest dynasty in the history of the NYFL ended up where they are now.
