Seahawks got SB advice from source with conflict of interest

I don't get the conflict of interest. Brady had no ties to the Pats at that point.

But ... But he had declared himself "A Patriot for life!" *

* Phonier words have never been uttered.

Tom is a Raider now... some need to come to grips with that.
Tom is also a narcissistic arrogant disloyal dbag. Some need to come to grips with that. He has turned his back on the organization that made him famous.
Yes he led is to 6 super bowls but he has been consistentl apathetic at best and more accurately openly hostile to this team and its fans

Ehhh… I don’t think Tom owes the organization anything. The Krafts didn’t offer him an ownership stake. He’s doing what’s best for him and his family.

That was my thought as well. No matter how one feels about Brady, he is a minority owner of the Raiders and has no ties to the Patriots.

BUT…..

I have heard stories about the “unwritten rule” that owners are supposed to be neutral in big games that don’t impact them. You aren’t supposed to see an owner publicly support one team over another and think they obey that rule very well for the most part. So maybe that is the minor “conflict of interest “..?

Doesn’t strike me as hostile. He is in a completely different phase of life. The only narcissistic thing is to assume someone made a decision purely out of spite to the org and its fans, which includes you. You’re centering your perspective.

Fact of the matter is, it’s the Superbowl. There were hours and hours of comprehensive analysis on tape from the previous 20 weeks. There’s hundreds and hundreds of hours of intensely detailed analysis on Youtube. The SB isn’t about hidden wrinkles, it’s about perfect execution because you know there’s really nothing you can hide at this point.

This is nothing.

Flight from Logan to SFO is faster than driving from Vegas to San Fran.
It’s the damn mountains!! That’s why when I lived in San Fran I went to Reno every weekend, not Vegas. Once you’re past Sacramento it’s beautiful country up in the Sierras. Just be aware it can be 70 in Sacramento and a blizzard in Truckee 100 miles up the road. Don’t end up like the Donners.

Every owner probably thinks every big game affects them and their business’s standing in the league. And they don’t give a damn about “unwritten rules”, often breaking all rules they can if they can get away with it. They are far less concerned with “conflict of interest” than any normal person.

Oh really? So when was the last time you heard an owner publicly comment on rooting for one team over another in a game that didn’t involve them? Because I can’t think of terribly many examples.

He said he had no dog in the fight, publically

What part was public? Maybe I missed something.

And even in a world where he publically says "I hate those guys!" - he is not beholden to what any one of us thinks he should do. Now should he be? Maybe, but even then, he would only be beholden to the fans of the Raiders.

I'm grateful for both Bill and Tom, but they don't seem to have left here in a good frame of mind about the team. Too bad. It shouldn't have ended this way.

I'm also grateful for what we have now. I like the ex-player as our coach, though it worked out horribly the last time.

You definitely missed something.

Brady could not have a parterned up with a worst franchise.

Daryll Stingley and Ben Dreath.
Originally I was going to add another 25 year curse on the Raiders (the other ended in February) but I decided not to.

Now I'm not sure after you've reminded me of Stingley and Dreath. Maybe they need another 25 years.

Brady was also throwing shade on Mahomes last season IIRC, and then he appears at Kelces wedding all buddy - buddy.

No state tax but close enough to his family in California. Makes sense…
If those were determining factors then why did Brady want to buy in with Kraft in Mass?

Brady sure is.

Hes hanging on to the "was" by a thread. Hair work, skin and cosmetic work, clothes the whole 9 yards.

All true.

Brady likely revealed what Seattle already knew. The Pats had OL issues and the Seattle DL was exceptional all season.

It was no horse in the fight TB12. What an *******.

Again, blame your ex wife for brainwashing you into leaving NE then banging a jujitsu dude and then marrying him.

TB12 post Patriots can pound sand. He knows JMcD inside and out and knows Vrable very well. If it was him, I'll go tear down that statue myself. There is a thing such as clouding everything you did away and he is or has already crossed that line.

It's really simple. Keep away, don't come back bloviating about the Pats etc etc. You are now the enemy. Kinda the anti Edelman. Can't see the Squirrel giving anything away to a Pats opponent. But you never know I guess.
