Jags preparing for pats since end of last month

I think they are just playing mind games. Let the Patriots think they are preparing for us for that long?.....

Are they really going to do anything all that different? They strike me as a "do what we do" team. If they want to switch it up and pass more often that is fine with me because I don't think they can win with their receivers as the main weapon.

BB has already said he's been preparing extra for the Jags since we played Indy and San diego already.

Every time I say this, someone responnds like this.

Obviously I know teams have advance scouts. Who doesn't know this?

What I am saying is that NE has been practicing and even running plays during games specifically in an effort to be better prepared for facing the Colts.
I agree. Anyone with a brain has known there's a good chance we'll play Indy again and that they're the team that we've had the most trouble with over the last few times we've played.

Would Belichick most likely :

a) Not worry about it, deal with the Colts the Monday before we play them next.
b) Obsess over everything he could do to smoke their asses next time.

I'm voting for (b)

A Pats fan who makes sense, you guys know your coach has been preparing for us too, right?

It probably doesn't take much preparation to be ready for the Jags. Their schemes are pretty basic, their quarterback is a "game-management" type of player, and their coach is a meat head.

Maybe as preparation they went back and looked at their previous games on turf:

Week 9 at NO - Loss 24-41 (Brees with 445 yds and 119.9 rating)
Week 13 at IND - Loss 25-28 (Manning with 288 yds and 126.1 rating)

Nowhere to go but up...

Offensively they will do what they do. Defensively is were they might try and get creative.

and indoors.... I know that and wish for a swirling windstorm this Sat.
you are cherry picking 2 games out of 15 (we threw the last one).

I picked (no cherries involved) the only games they played on turf. I could go back to previous seasons but the results wouldn't be much better.

All Jack Del Rio did was call his local pharmacy to get a couple cases of Preperation H. Because after the reaming the Jags take Saturday night, they will need some relief.

It's cute that Del ******* considers that "going the extra mile" but it's typical; the Patriots do basic gameplans for every upcoming opponent in the offseason. The Colts were clearly going to be a WC with Patriots/Colts 1&2 and they know the Colts very well.

Exactly. Coaches always gameplan for teams their facing one week out (usually one or two days before their current game), and when it comes to the playoffs their scouting everyone. Trust me, NE's had scouts at Jacksonville's games for at least a month or more. BB's huge on advanced scouting. Heck, they've already started talking to free agents their considering for the 2008 season.

If anything those comments are coming from a coach who's prep has been lacking...
